A Cameron Surgical Supply Co surgical lamp full kit circa 1920. This unusual and early electric surgical lamp set is by the Cameron Surgical Specialty Company which was famous for their pioneering surgical and medical diagnostic and surgical lamps. This is the full kit with fittings for the ear, eye, various orifices and the odd cavity, including the head-mounted lamp as well. It includes the original 15 x 12" plush fitted case with almost the full array of original equipment. The pieces we can identify include: spreaders (yikes!), ear attachment, red bulb attachment, Vitrohm potential adjuster (looks like it screws into light sockets for power), 2 angled mirrors, printed envelope with spare bulbs, headpiece with plastic strap (the plastic has vitrified and a piece has broken off), tongue depressor in holder, angled mirror in holder (eyes or oral?), extension wall plug, stainless loops and probes in cylindrical case, 4 large blown glass extended bulbs, 2 steel brackets. There are about three empty fitted compartments from now missing items, but this set is mostly complete. The black paper covered case is in good shape with only some corner rubs, it is stamped DR. C. W. STREETS in gold, and this wonderful medical historical diagnostic artifact is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, major losses, damage or repairs. A Canadian World War I folk art wood carving of a dove of peace. This exceptional and original folk art item depicts a hand and a dove and it came from a Zurich, Ontario folk art carver. A Carling Black Label Beer Light Up Bar Clock Sign 1973. This impressive bar advertising sign is made of brown wood-grain style plastic and it has an electric clock and internal light. The clear plastic front cover has a printed card stock graphic insert and the case has an applied gold plated Carling shield. It has the original on/off pull chain and light ballast plug and it has a sticker on the back with details and a FEB 22 '73 stamped manufacturing date. This American made bar sign is the BLACK LABEL ILLUMINATED 25" PRESTIGE CLOCK Item No. 1930 PB. A Chisolm Model C1 flip down toaster from the 1930s. This scarce and unusual chrome plated and wood two sided flip down electric toaster is by W.C. Chisholm Mfg. Co. of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This toaster has wooden handles and painted wooden sides on the base; it also has heavy springs keeping the doors shut. The heat wire wrapped mica plates are intact as is the cloth-wrapped original cord. It has a detachable top with a wood handle (possibly for keeping toast warm). It works just fine with lots and lots of heat, and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor paint loss to the base wood. We have lightly cleaned it however it still has some grime and stains, all of which can be polished out if you want to spend the time. A C.M. Von Valkenburg Petrolia gold filled pocket watch circa 1900. This 2" across stem-wind pocket watch has a porcelain dial with a single sunk seconds dial and blued hands. It is printed with C.M. VON VALKENBURG PETROLIA (Ontario, Canada) on the face, and the 1-5/8" across works has nice damascening. The works are marked ADJUSTED 2 POSITIONS 17 JEWELS 3876866. We haven't identified the works however the regulator resembles that of Howard or Ball watches. The case is stamped BANNER GOLD FILLED 168653 and it has numerous servicing inscriptions. It has a JES script monogram, and this watch is in very good condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor wear to the gold plating and a small chip to the face at 23 minutes on the dial (covered by the bezel). The mainspring will not hold tension however everything else appears to be working, clean and intact and the time can be easily set. A Coalport 5012/A deep blue and white cup and saucer from the 1910-20 era. A custom bighorn sheep ram sterling silver and gold nuggets ring probably from the 1970s-80s. This impressive size 10-3/4 rihg features a highly detailed bighorn sheep flanked with two genuine gold nuggets. This ring measures 3/4" wide and 3/4" from nugget to nugget, it weighs 11.2 grams and it is stamped STER with an M maker's mark. The nuggets test well above our 18k acid and they are probably around 22k. A simple and elegant Art Deco design four piece sterling silver International tea set c1930s. It consists of the following: the 8" across the handle and spout and 6" high wicker handled teapot, stamped STERLING 2 PTs and 913 with the International plumed knight's helmet mark; the open sugar bowl, 4-1/2" across the handles and 2-1/8" high, stamped INTERNATIONAL STERLING c134, also with the knight's helmet mark; the cream jug, 3-1/2" across the handle and spout and 3" high, stamped INTERNATIONAL STERLING C 134 also with the knight's helmet mark. The tray is made by Towle and it is stamped TOWLE STERLING and 150. The set fits well and looks great on it, although it isn't the same maker (slight surface marks from the tea set). It measures 10-1/2" across, and has a raised straight rim that is 5/8" across and has a rolled edge. The edge curves down, approximately 5/8" deep, to an inner rim. This set is in excellent condition, with no dents, corrosion, monograms, repairs or damage. The set weighs 1074 grams (approximately 34.6 troy ounces or just over 38 avoirdupois ounces, or a bit over 2 pounds of sterling silver). It has a clean and elegant deco design that would fit beautifully in a modern decor. A fine quality and vintage hand painted Dresden porcelain 3-1/4" tall lidded mustard pot c1900-20. This lovely German porcelain serving piece features ornate and fine hand painted floral groupings in lush colours as well as gold highlights and trim. An early and unusual pair of c1900 direct reading micrometers by J.T. Slocomb of Providence, Rhode Island. These 6-1/2" long hand-held thickness gauges are similar to the standard shaft-read micrometers except they have an indicator disc and pointer indicating the depth of the measured item (in this case probably sheet metal). They are painted cast iron with machined brass shafts and dials; they are each stamped with the maker's name on the shafts. One has an applied black marking disc with white numerals (up to 250) while the other has a brass face. They are in original untouched condition with only minor paint losses and surface oxidation from age and use; we have lightly oiled the brass and cleaned off the dirt. An Edwardian 14k yellow gold sunburst diamond and seed pearls ring circa 1900 1910. This unusual antique ring of genuine seed pearls and a genuine diamond is in the sunburst or starburst shape popular with lavalieres at the time, it was more likely a representation of a daisy or some other flower. The sunburst has 10 petals with genuine seed pearls and it has a central claw-set 8 point (measured by flat stone gauge) genuine antique European cut diamond; the shank is stamped 14K with a JIC maker's mark. I have never seen this ring before in 38 years in antiques. It is possible that this piece was produced at a slightly later date, but the ring shank is an appropriate one for the period, and the setting is properly mounted and appears original. An Edwardian platinum emerald and diamonds ring circa 1910. This antique size 6-1/2 or 6.5 ring features a central medium-green genuine emerald with 4 genuine diamonds on each side of the emerald, a total of 8 diamonds. The diamonds are eight single cut diamonds starting at VS-1 clarity and G/H colour (several diamonds are chipped). This ring weighs 2.4 grams and it is marked 900 PLAT 100 IR'D. indicating a 90 per cent platinum and 10 per cent iridium precious metal content. It has an attractive slightly ornate design with some delicate engraved work on each side. It is in the described condition with no other cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than mentioned. The emerald is a recent replacement for the previous stone. An Edwardian rolled gold plate bangle bracelet with a purple cut glass stone circa 1910. This beauty a lovely Edwardian design with heart shaped flourishes flanking a large faceted purple crystal. The hollow construction makes it light in weight and comfortable to wear but it looks substantial and it has a pushbutton insert style clasp. It is unsigned and it measures 2-1/2 x 2-1/8" across the interior and 1-1/8" at its widest. This late Victorian or early Edwardian vanity box has a high relief or repousse design with flourishes, foliage and crimped edges. An Edwardian T. Rathbone DANE 1867L water pitcher from the 1910 era. This beautiful, decorative English ironstone ewer or pitcher stands 9" tall and it has the T.R. & Co. swan mark used by T. Rathbone in the Edwardian era. The decoration is quite Edwardian with flow blue accents, red and yellow highlights and poppy flowers. An Eiichi Kotozuka Evening Snow At Kiyamachi 1950s framed woodblock Japanese print. This large Oban size print is by Kotozuka (1906-1979) and it has a sight size of 15-1/4 x 10-1/4". It has been matted and framed with a black painted bamboo style 23 x 18-1/4" frame with the print affixed to the mat. The print itself may be 1/4" larger on all sides due to the mat. It has one of the artistic "Koto" seal signatures below the print title as well as the Uchida publisher seal on the upper left of the print. Kiyamachi Street is located in Kyoto, Japan and it is a world heritage site of considerable beauty. It has a Joske's of Texas foil label on back (the department store that sold and framed this print) and the paper has been subtly embossed giving a nice three dimensional effect. Although this print was glazed when we obtained it we will be shipping it without the glass in order to protect the print from damage if the glass were to break in shipment. It is in excellent condition with no staining, tears, fading, damage or repairs.
