A Copeland Spode D9875 Aesthetic covered entree dish from the 1870s. This early and beautiful genuine Aesthetic period covered entree dish measures 14 x 7-3/4". This English serving piece has lush gilding, relief handles and branch-style finial and fine hand painting over transfer. It has grape and vine leaves, feeding birds, foliage and a butterfly; it is stamped (faintly) COPELAND with various underglaze numbers and letters and it has painted D9875 markings. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than two tiny glaze chars on the base's edge and some minor craze lines at the bottom of the bowl. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Expedited tracked and insured parcel shipping to the U.S. starts at $27 (other spots may vary, air is higher). Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only.
