A Victorian gold filled rope twist watch chain with a 10k opals slide circa 1890. This 27" chain has two 1/16" strands with a swivel and it includes a crescent shaped 10k yellow gold (unmarked but tested) working 5/16" long slide with four vivid blue/green and orange opals. An Edwardian gold filled long watch chain with a 14k opal slide from 1900-10. This elegant 25-1/2" doubled nugget or twisted serpentine chain has a swivel end marked S.O.B. & Co (S.O. Bigney & Co.) and the single strand chain is 1/16" wide. The 1/4" across slide has a colourful natural cabochon opal and it tests as 14k gold. This chain can be configured as a necklace or bracelet and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs. A Victorian gold filled seed pearls photo locket with a long watch chain necklace from the 1890s. This attractive oval 1-5/8 x 3/4" (including bale) locket retains the two photo retaining bezels and it has two instant relatives included. The back is undecorated and the front has a lovely X-style design with graduated seed pearls. It has a satin finish and it comes with a slightly later J.Co. 1906 15 YRS gold filled chain with a swivel. "15 YRS." refers to the guarantee on the chain's gold plating to last for 15 years under normal use (similar to that used on watch cases). The chain itself measures 48-1/2" long (sans swivel) and it can be worn doubled as shown or full length (it will hang 24-1/4" long). This necklace is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs. An M.J. Tobias Liverpool 18k & sterling engraved face Swiss pocket watch from the 1890s. This 14 size or 18 ligne watch is 1-7/8" across and it has a typical unmarked Swiss bar movement, a fancy engraved 18k yellow gold back cover with Swiss gold markings, a dust cover marked M.J. TOBIAS LIVERPOOL HANDS DETACHED LEVER FULL JEWELLED, and a very fancy engine turned and engraved sterling silver face with a village scene under a silver rimmed open face cover with a glass crystal. It has subtle gilded highlights, a single sunk second hand dial, blued hands and applied silver Roman numbers. Tobias started in Liverpool in 1805 and his family later expanded the watch business and started to export Swiss-sourced watches with varying cases and faces to the U.S. This face is one of a small variety of engraved faces we've seen - other configurations and cases were also made. This watch has been kept in a drawer in an estate for decades and it runs and keeps time for a few minutes and stops; it is very clean however it could use a cleaning, lubrication and adjustment and it is being sold as is without warranty. A Swiss sterling silver engraved hunter case pocket watch with a chain with a Routier Quebec retailer signature. This size 13 ligne or size 0 watch has fancy tooling on its full hunter sterling silver case which has an MQ '04 monogram on one side. The front and back cases and dust cover all have Swiss 935 sterling silver marks including the bear mark and the works resemble a barred Swiss movement from around the 1900 era. The porcelain dial with a single sunk second hand dial is signed A.C. ROUTIER QUEBEC (Quebec City, the retailer). This watch comes with an unmarked but tested sterling silver 24" double strand herringbone chain with a swivel. The crown is brass and this watch appears to be overwound and is not working. Also, the crystal and hour hand are missing however the face is in excellent condition as is the case. it is being sold as is without a guarantee. An English sterling silver curb link watch chain with an escutcheon shape medal or award fob. The 14 3/8" length antique watchchain has individual lion passant marks and the watch swivel has the company mark of Henry Williamson Ld (known 1895 - ?). The fob, which appears to be a football award, has the makers mark of William H Haseler and the Birmingham 1915 year mark. The shield in the centre has rse gold and two ornate iniitials, possibly ST. There is one swivel, possibly this was being worn as a unique necklace. It is overall is mostly very good to excellent condition for its age and usage but the swivel loop does show visible wear, and the lion passant marks on the chain appear worn, as is often the case with these sterling chains. A Girard Perregaux 14K white gold lady's diamond manual wind wristwatch. This elegant Art Deco vintage wrist watch measures 15/16" x 1/2", and it has a a fine braided black leather strap and a full wrist size chain link guard safety chain; the case is set with two large 3 mm. across bezel set diamonds on the top of the strap loop and bottom, with 26 round cut genuine diamonds around the bezel (approximately .65 carat total weight by gauge). The inside of the case is marked J MILHENNING INC. M 14K 145594; the works are marked GIRARD-PERREGAUX & Co. GXM SWISS UNADJUSTED 52 432917 SEVENTEEN JEWELS and it has gold gears. We believe it dates to the 1930s, but it may be slightly more recent. This watch has just been overhauled by a professional watchmaker a few years ago and appears to be in excellent running order, although we are not watchmakers so cannot guarantee it. Other than some very slight darkening visible around a few of the numbers on the face, it appears to be in excellent condition. A very fine quality watch. A 15k sardonyx cameo Etruscan style watch or locket pin brooch from the 1860 era. This fine mid-Victorian 2-3/4 x 7/8" pin features a fine carved genuine sardonyx male warrior portrait mounted on an Etruscan style pin with ornate wirework. It is unsigned and it tests as a high 15k (a bit below 18k) and it also has a hook for the suspension of a watch or locket. A Waltham hunter case GF size 6 pocket watch dated 1903. This very nice looking gold filled 1-5/8" pocket watch has a 1-1/4" movement. It was made in 1903 by the American Waltham Watch Company, it appears to be a size 6 Model 1890 (11 jewels) and the hunter case is attractively engraved. It has the same design on both sides and it has a script monogram on one side. The case is a Waltham Cashier 25 year hunter and the movement has the serial number 12285339. This watch runs and keeps time however we haven't had it cleaned and it is being sold as found without warranty. We recommend all timepieces be professionally cleaned and adjusted. This watch is in very good condition with no chips, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some tight hairline cracks to the porcelain single-sunk face, a dent on the dust cover and some scratches to the interior of the rear cover. A JG Graves Sheffield sterling silver swing-out key pocket watch 1902. This English sterling silver key wind cased pocket watch is by JG Graves of Sheffield, England. Graves (1866-1945) was a watchmaker, entepreneur and benefactor, and this watch is hallmarked for Chester 1902, with the swing-out case having the Graves maker's mark. The watch is 2" across and the works measure 1-9/16" across the plate. They are inscribed J.G. GRAVES SHEFFIELD REVERSING PINION No688375. The single sunk dial has gold toned hands and it has THE "EXPRESS" ENGLISH LEVER in red and a black script G.S. GRAVES SHEFFIELD (indicating a late issue). It has an engine turned and engraved design on the back of the case and the back dust cover is unmarked. It is key wind and adjustment is by a nut at the pivot of the hands on the dial. This watch includes a later plastic base and dome cover, and it is in good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs - the case, porcelain dial and works all appear intact, clean and undamaged however this watch doesn't run and the crystal has some minor abrasions. A sterling silver modern design Consul (Switzerland) ladies wrist watch circa 1970. The brushed face has a gradient colour, from chocolate to golden amber. The hands are silver, and the body of the watch is an abstract modernist plain solid cuff style. The back of the cuff has a clever and unusual gate type of closure to allow it to be easily taken on and off, unlike a cuff bracelet. The clasp works well and there is a safety chain and this watch weighs 48.0 grams. The face is marked Consul and Swiss Made, and it is a 17 jewel manual wind works. The back has an RW mark, as well as 925 sterling mark, a German crescent moon and crown, a floral oval hallmark and the (model?) numbers 5391 and 22. It measures 1 11/16" at the widest but tapers to a width of 5/8" at the narrowest, and the widest interior measurement is 2 3/8" across. It is currently working and keeping time and it appears to be in good working order, but we cannot offer a guarantee as we have no idea when it was last cleaned. It is in excellent condition - no damage or repairs. A lovely lady's Ryrie (later Birks) hanging watch in 9k rose gold c1910. This 1-1/8" diameter watch features a single sunk seconds dial, blued hands and black Roman numerals and a large hinged rectangular loop for hanging. The face is marked RYRIE, and the case is stamped with London, England import gold marks with a 109926 serial number. The 15/16" (24 mm.) diameter works are stamped 3326279 RYRIE VERNON 15 JEWELS; Vernon was Ryrie's quality gold watch line and they used Waltham works according to archive catalogues. This watch is suspended from a 10k yellow gold pin featuring the three loop Rebekah lodge symbol. The pin has a safety catch, and this pin and watch measures 2-1/4 x 1-1/4" in total. It weighs 18.2 grams, and this watch runs and keeps time, however we recommend that all timepieces be professionally cleaned and adjusted. A Victorian 5-1/4 x 1" brass and cut French Jet (black glass) watch fob with swivel, complete with a later commemorative oval 1-3/4" x 1-1/4" pressed steel medallion depicting Lord Kitchener. The medal has a high relief portrait of Kitchener (1850-1916) with the legends FEARLESS NOBLE BRAVE AND TRUE and BRITAIN'S NOBLE SON. An 18k Gold key wind fancy case open face pocket watch with key circa 1900. This antique yellow gold 1-5/8" diameter watch has blued hands and a textured gold face. The ornately tooled and engraved case is stamped K18 on the crown and WARRANTED 18 CARAT 92971 inside the back. The dust cover also has this serial number along with CUIVRE J.D. The works are unmarked and they measure 1-7/16" across. The case snaps shut firmly front and back, it has the original key and it runs well.
