An Edwardian sterling silver repousse heart trinket dresser box dated 1901. This late Victorian or early Edwardian vanity box has a high relief or repousse design with flourishes, foliage and crimped edges. It has a gilt interior and a full set of hallmarks for Chester, England 1901. It has the maker's mark for Jay, Richard Attenborough & Co. (trading as Jays) and it also has the retailer's mark on the bottom (JAYS 142 144 OXFORD ST. W.). It weighs 21.0 grams and it is in excellent condition with no monograms, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
