A cast spelter Asian elephant figurine from the 1920s. This 2-1/4" tall and 4-1/4" long figure has a black patination with hand painted ivory coloured tusks and applied painted green verdigris. It is unsigned and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a touch of paint flaking to the tusk ends and a bit of paint losses to the upper edges of the ears (very minor). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. This pastel coloured 10-3/8" tall figure has a gloss and matte finish and pastel yellow, orange, blue and brown colours. It is incised M.J. Hummel on the base plinth and it has the blue "stylized bee" mark in use from 1960-72. A German pink china pigs in champagne bottle whimsy circa 1890. This vintage unmarked hand painted figural whimsy is 5-3/4" long and 2-3/8" high (maximum) and it is in the form of two pink pigs with a champagne bottle - one leaning on the outside and the other sitting on a plinth and peering out from the bottle in the center.
