This finely decorated 1-3/4" brooch has ornate and fine hand engraving with a claw-set light purple amethyst stone on the high relief thistle. It weighs 13.7 grams, it has a full set of Glasgow 1957 hallmarks and the maker's mark WBs for Ward Brothers (this mark 1948-57). It has a safety clasp and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. An Edwardian Paye & Baker bluebird of happiness enamel sterling pin brooch from the 1910 1920 era. This well-made 1-5/8 x 1/2" pin has matte finish enamel with a yellow throat and blue plumage as well as an orange eye (not yellow as in our photos). It is stamped with P&B in hearts maker's mark for Paye & Baker of Attleboro, Massachusetts (1901~1960) and it has the original c-clasp.
