A 12K Egyptian rose gold genuine yellow topaz ring. This vintage size 6-1/2 or 6.5 genuine topaz solitaire has gold hallmark for Egypt. The date mark may be for 1943 -1944, but that may vary by city where assayed. The claw-set stone is a rectangular faceted or emerald cut, and is a definite yellow with very slight brown under-tone, and has an excellent clarity. The topaz measures 11.5mm x 9.1mm and has a depth of 7.3mm, so it is slightly over 5 carats in size. The ring weighs 3.2 grams. We also tested the ring, and it appears to be closer to 14K, but is being sold according to its assay mark. It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. Condition details are noted, and items have signs of use as expected. A 14k gold Mabe pearl and diamonds pearl enhancer pendant for a necklace. This vintage beauty has an 12mm x 6mm genuine Mabe pearl surrounded by six round genuine brilliant cut diamonds circa 1970s. Mabe pearls grow on the inside of the shell rather than the centre, so they are curved at the front but flatter at back. This necklace pendant has a pearl enhancer type loop, which means it can also be worn over a strand of pearls or some other gem stone or bead necklace also. Also lovely on a chain alone as the pendant. The pearl alone measures 12 mm. across and the six genuine modern single cut diamonds are set in white gold, with yellow gold surrounding. It weighs 3.6 grams and it has a swing-open clasp with a snap-on safety catch. Great idea for a wedding pearl necklace that can be worn over pearls or other beads. The entire pendant size is 6mm (a bit over 5/8" across - that measurement does not include the loop section, it is the measurement of the pearl section only. Before Rolling Stone turned into an irrelevant pile of commercial crap over 40 years ago, it was at the vanguard of the "Underground Press" - a crude newspaper devoted to the counterculture, drugs, music, uncensored political and sexual expression and all things Hippie. Fortunately, being Canadian, the Georgia Straight of Vancouver carried on the anarchistic torch for a few years after RS gave it up, giving us a ribald and unfettered underground newspaper sold in the British Columbia area. From r-rated underground comics (the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers (FFFB) by Gilbert Shelton, Fat Freddie's Cat, and others) to interviews with counterculture icons, this paper is a window on a long-gone world of late 1960s ideals (it started around the same time as RS in 1967). A signed Kanyengeh 6 Nations large pottery vase signed Dee 1977. This Native Canadian pottery vase has the famous sculpted exterior and brown glaze with the turquoise blue interior. Mexican sterling silver heavy link section bangle bracelet circa 1970s 1980. This modernist sculptural 13/16" wide vintage bracelet is a Castillo design and it consists of fully hinged segments with a tall push-button box clasp. It is stamped TC-117 MEXICO 925 and it weighs an substantial 115.3 grams (3.7 ounces). Nicely finished designer quality. It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. We are not sure if TC-117 was one of the various Castillo studio marks, so unable to attribute it definitely to that firm. It certainly has the weight and stunning quality of a genuine Castillo piece. Each link freely pivots on the hinge and it measures approximately 6-3/4" in length (may be a little longer, the hinges made the tape measure go off a little). The hinges allow it to be round or oval in shape, so the interior measurement is 2" across in the round shape. The widest oval shape is 2-5/8" x 1-5/8". The hinges are just under 1/8" in width, so the measurements were taken from the hinges rather than the interior flat sections. Each link is a maximum 7/16" above the hinge. A genuine 3 strand angel coral necklace with a carved coral drop from the 1980s. This wonderful and scarce necklace features three strands of genuine white and orange/pink angel hair coral 5.3 mm. beads and three baroque pearl and two gold bead spacers per strand. We haven't tested the gold but the coral tests as genuine and it is undyed and original in colour. The shortest strand is 28" and the hand carved floral drop measures 1-3/8 x 3/4". A vintage 1960s Rosko Japan Hy-Que Speak No Evil mechanical steel and plastic battery operated monkey toy. This famous 17" tall toy has brightly lithographed metal parts and soft rubber hands and head with fur. The clothing is intact and in excellent shape as is the metalwork (it rates a visual C9 to us). A pair of Helen Kalvak Inuit screened burlap hunting scene pictures. Kalvak (1901-1984) was from Ulukhaktok, Northwest Territories, Canada and she was inducted into the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts. This was followed in 1978 by her appointment to the Order of Canada. These screened burlap pictures are framed and they measure 18-1/4 x 15-1/4" and they have a sight size of 13-1/2 x 10-1/4". The wood frames have an antiqued finish and one shows a bow and arrow hunter killing a goose (in natural burlap brown) and the other depicts fishing (in green burlap).
