A George Culley watercolour painting 1981 from Canada. This unframed 15-1/2" x 11" double-sided watercolour on paper is by George S. Culley (Canadian, 1905-?) depicting a shack surrounded by low wooded hills on one side and a trees and yard winter scene on the other. This painting is in excellent original condition with no foxing, staining, bends, tears, losses, damage or repairs other than a thin scrape on the winter scene (see image). It is signed G.S. Culley in red in the left margin on the winter scene and G.S. Culley '81 on the other. The shack scene covers the complete side and the other has pencilled boundaries (image size 14" x 10"). Please note that there are some holes around the unpainted edge from the thumbtacks used by the artist to mount the paper to the easel, and pencil outlines of the image are clearly visible.
