A 14K white gold blue star sapphire ring circa 1970. This vintage retro cross-over design ring is just a slight bit under a size 7-3/4 or 7.75, and the claw set stone is an oval cabochon genuine star sapphire. The gem measures 7mm x 5mm x 3mm. It has a fairly sharp 6 point star asterism or refraction. The stone is a typical royal blue, with a slight fluorescence at the base of the stone. It is marked 14K with a manufacturer's mark. The birthstone present for September birthdays. It is in excellent condition with no breaks, chips, cracks, or visible damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
