A Victorian Aesthetic butterflies gilt basket with a cranberry glass bowl liner dated 1869. This antique serving piece is truly superb, from the immaculately detailed gilded butterfly basket with a swing handle to the original cranberry glass bowl with a polished base. The three feet have fine hand engraving and most unusually each of the seven butterflies has the old English diamond registry mark incorporated into the design, not added or stamped on later. Although unsigned this is a work of superb craftsmanship and the registry number dates the design to 1869. It measures 4-1/2" across and it stands 5-3/4" tall with the handle upright. It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, losses, damage or repairs other than a few small areas of darkening to the gilding and a couple of very tiny edge nicks to the liner. A set for 12 mother of pearl handle silver plated fish knives and forks from the 1897-1900 era. This 24 piece set consists of the 7-7/8" fish knives and the 6-3/4" forks. Each piece has a mother of pearl handle with excellent lustre and green and pink flash. The ferrules are unmarked and nicely embossed (they may be silver - we haven't tested them and it wasn't required to mark small, light items). The silver plated fittings (knife blades and forks) have ornate and attractive hand engraving and they have the maker's mark for Harrison Fisher of Sheffield, England (established 1897, this mark in use from 1897-1900). We don't have a box for this set however they will be shipped in a long cloth flatware wrap with pouches for each piece. A Birks sterling silver footed jewel and ring box dated 1935. This 3-1/2" diameter footed jewellery or dresser casket with a fitted velvet lined interior (with a gilded interior lid and space for 4 rings and a well for other jewels) has a gothic G in a wreath monogram. The jewel box has a Birks date hallmark for 1935 as well as being marked sterling and Birks 24. It weighs 190.0 gr. and it is in excellent vintage condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a small separation of the interior velvet covered divider. A genuine 3 strand angel coral necklace with a carved coral drop from the 1980s. This wonderful and scarce necklace features three strands of genuine white and orange/pink angel hair coral 5.3 mm. beads and three baroque pearl and two gold bead spacers per strand. We haven't tested the gold but the coral tests as genuine and it is undyed and original in colour. The shortest strand is 28" and the hand carved floral drop measures 1-3/8 x 3/4". The workmanship is very fine and the drop's tiny linking coral beads are as small as 1.7 mm. An Edwardian 14K white and yellow gold rod link watch chain from the 1910 1920 era. It measures 13-1/2" long, the links alternate from elongated diamond shaped in yellow gold with rectangular lined white gold links and it has a swivel and springring clasp. A wonderfully designed and executed late Victorian Art Nouveau candy bowl or dish with fine high relief decoration. This 6-3/8" x 5" bowl has floral designs on the edge with Nouveau maidens with flowers in their hair. It is stamped 925 with an obscured maker's mark and it weighs 86.2 grams. A scarce Crown Devon England pink Chinoiserie lamp from the 1920s. This ceramic table lamp is in the Chinoiserie style in an attractive mottled pink with hand painted gold decoration. This English earthenware 12-1/2" tall lamp (body) resembles a covered jar. It sits on an ornate patterned gilt brass base and it has a double S style horizontal twin light socket set with pull-chains. It stands a total height of 25" and it has been rewired. The base is fastened tightly to the porcelain and we were unable to dismantle the lamp to show the marks. This unusual lamp is in mostly excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the re-wiring, the replacement of one of the dark patinated original sockets with a modern version, glaze crazing and the absence of a finial. A scarce sterling silver filigree posey holder pin circa 1900 1910. This antique 2-1/4" long and 1" across (unmarked but tested) fantastic posy or corsage brooch is an example of ornate and very fine silver work. The ball and wire end makes me think it may be an older Indonesian / Yogya piece. It was assembled from three separate sections of filigree silver. It may be older than our estimate. This possible bridal item either started out as a flower bouquet holder and had the pin added or was always a posy-pin. It has a c-clasp. It can readily be converted to (or back to) a small bouquet holder. It weighs 12.6 grams, and it is in excellent condition for its age and fineness, with no corrosion or repairs other than what appears to be a small section of missing wire and the c-clasp has been repaired.
