A mother of pearl silver plated fruit set for 12 in the original box from the 1900 era. This late Victorian or Edwardian unsigned set features the solid stained wood box (probably oak) and it has a satin lined lid with fitted plush mounts for the 24 pieces of cutlery. It has a tray holding half the set which consists of the fancy engraved 7-1/2" knives and the 6-1/8" fruit forks. The box has the original lock (but no key) and it has a gilt shield on the top which has never been monogrammed. A 20K yellow gold lion pendant or charm. This 5/8" across round charm depicts a side view of a lion in motion and it is stamped 835 (for 20k gold). Although 835 is also a mark used in Europe for silver, this piece tests as over 18 K and less than 22K. There are additional tiny undecipherable marks on the bale-loop. A 14k Victorian five pearls row ring circa 1900. This size 5-1/4 ring (actually just a shade over 5-1/4 and under 5-1/2) features a row of five natural pearls. The pearl setting measures 9/16 x 1/8" and the pearls range from 1.5 to 2 mm in width. Four have a nice silvery/creamy lustre while the smallest on the end is slightly lighter and duller and may have been replaced. A Vict. gp & mop fancy spring extendable watch chain. This truly unusual 12" spring-loaded expanding Victorian gold plated over brass watch chain has with mother of pearl sections. This 1/2" wide chain features engraved round links with pierced loops, round thick plain loops and designed flattened patterned loops; it also has two spring-loaded segments with mother-of-pearl inserted sections. Each spring segment has engraving and finely made pivots and channels for the expansion spring; one has what appears to be either an old repair or for some other purpose, possibly a hanging component. It has one original swivel and one that has been added later; it has no identifying marks of any kind. We haven't seen a chain of this style before, and we've seen hundreds. An excellent curiosity. An unusual silver plated cigar table lighter circa 1880. This truly futuristic looking Victorian globular 3-1/2" tall smoking accessory stands on ball feet and it has two wick clamps for lighting the cigars. It worked like this: the central wick continually burned whilst the smoker would pull out one clamp which had a fluid-soaked small length of wick clamped in the tweezer. This was lit in the flame, carried to the cigar, and then extinguished and reinserted in its well to soak it for the next cigar. Each tweezer/clamp has a sliding collar to squeeze onto the wick, and this unusual item has the maker's mark for Hirons, Plante & Co. (c1878-1882) of Birmingham, England. This lighter is in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than seven shallow dents on the body. An English shell and gadroon silver plated tip kettle with stand and burner circa 1930s. This beautiful table serving accessory stands 12" tall and 9-1/4" from spout to edge. It has the original mechanical opening and lifting burner and it retains the original base mounting keys and chains. It has dark stained wood handles and the maker's mark for Harrison Brothers & Howson of Sheffield, England (1862~1950) and it has a 6263-1/2 mark (probably indicating a 3-1/2 pint capacity). The pressed glass liner is 5" tall and the 11-1/4" tall stand has decorated feet and a floral arched handle and the matching tongs have claw feet. The lid of the cruet has a perching bird, and the stand is marked SILVERPLATED MADE IN CANADA on the underside rim. An Ellis Bros. gold filled fancy pocket watch with a 15J Cyma 777 four adjustment movement from the 1920s. This 1-3/4" open face man's pocket watch features a hand engraved gold plated face with a single sunk second hand dial and purple finished metal hands. Ellis Brothers was taken over by Birks in the late 1920s and this watch has an Ellis branded Swiss Cyma 777 15 jewel movement with four adjustments. The works are 34mm. across, size 4 or 15 ligne. It is stem wind and it has a 20 year gold filled Wadsworth Referee case with the number 6916315. It has the inscription "PRESENTED TO HAROLD A. DUMPHY BY THE STAFF OF ELLIS BROS. 1926" and it has a fancy AHD monogram on the back of the case. A striking, modernistic designer watch by Philippe Starck, for Fossil. This stainless watch has a mystery clock movement where the "hands" rotate on discs. This is the white version of the Palindrome watch, with a white face and white leather band with Philippe Starck stamp on band. A Gruen Veri-Thin style 474 gold plated wrist watch dated 1941. This 435 caliber high quality retro wind-up manual wristwatch has a single-sunk second hand dial, full Roman numerals and a gold plate L-CRUSADER-3 expansion band with triple segment alternating convex and concave links. The movement features 17 jewels with rubies and it has a 750468 serial number and all of the proper markings. The Star Watch Case Company base metal back has the 434-474 numbers and a 110711 serial number as well as various service etchings. A 9k claddagh ring with hallmarks for Dublin 1995. This traditional Irish wedding band is a size 8, and is all yellow gold. The crown to heart measurement is just under 1/2" or 12mm. This ring theoretically allowed people to know the engaged or marital status (or not) depending upon which finger and way the ring faced when on, but now is usually only given as a wedding band. It is very popular with people from Ireland or those of Irish descent as a symbol of the country. The 2-1/2" x 1-3/8" mirror is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1916 with a C&N maker's mark, for Crisford and Norris. The 22" sterling silver chain with spring-ring catch is indistinctly marked on the loop, but tests as silver (it came with mirror, appears to be vintage but cannot guarantee it was purchased with mirror originally).
