A mother of pearl silver plated fruit set for 12 in the original box from the 1900 era. This late Victorian or Edwardian unsigned set features the solid stained wood box (probably oak) and it has a satin lined lid with fitted plush mounts for the 24 pieces of cutlery. It has a tray holding half the set which consists of the fancy engraved 7-1/2" knives and the 6-1/8" fruit forks. The box has the original lock (but no key) and it has a gilt shield on the top which has never been monogrammed. This set is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, losses, damage or repairs other than some surface silver plating corrosion, minor pitting and wear and a warp to the box's lid which also has some minor scuffing and some wear to the black papered bottom. This set is priced with condition in mind, and you can have the metal replated if you wish. A 20K yellow gold lion pendant or charm. This 5/8" across round charm depicts a side view of a lion in motion and it is stamped 835 (for 20k gold). Although 835 is also a mark used in Europe for silver, this piece tests as over 18 K and less than 22K. There are additional tiny undecipherable marks on the bale-loop. It weighs 1.2 grams and it is in excellent vintage condition with no breaks, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A 14k Victorian five pearls row ring circa 1900. This size 5-1/4 ring (actually just a shade over 5-1/4 and under 5-1/2) features a row of five natural pearls. The pearl setting measures 9/16 x 1/8" and the pearls range from 1.5 to 2 mm in width. Four have a nice silvery/creamy lustre while the smallest on the end is slightly lighter and duller and may have been replaced. This ring weighs 1.7 grams, it is stamped 14K and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the possible replacement pearl. An amber daisy and button pickle cruet with stand and tongs from the 1880 1900 era. The pressed glass liner is 5" tall and the 11-1/4" tall stand has decorated feet and a floral arched handle and the matching tongs have claw feet. The lid of the cruet has a perching bird, and the stand is marked SILVERPLATED MADE IN CANADA on the underside rim. This item is in superb near mint condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs whatsoever - the plating is completely intact with no wear or loss at all. There are some engraved identification markings on the underside of the stand from a previous owner. An English shell and gadroon silver plated tip kettle with stand and burner circa 1930s. This beautiful table serving accessory stands 12" tall and 9-1/4" from spout to edge. It has the original mechanical opening and lifting burner and it retains the original base mounting keys and chains. It has dark stained wood handles and the maker's mark for Harrison Brothers & Howson of Sheffield, England (1862~1950) and it has a 6263-1/2 mark (probably indicating a 3-1/2 pint capacity). It is in excellent condition with no monograms, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a bit of bending to the burner cap and some minor looseness to the mechanism at the hinge which probably needs to be resoldered. A Vict. gp & mop fancy spring extendable watch chain. This truly unusual 12" spring-loaded expanding Victorian gold plated over brass watch chain has with mother of pearl sections. This 1/2" wide chain features engraved round links with pierced loops, round thick plain loops and designed flattened patterned loops; it also has two spring-loaded segments with mother-of-pearl inserted sections. Each spring segment has engraving and finely made pivots and channels for the expansion spring; one has what appears to be either an old repair or for some other purpose, possibly a hanging component. It has one original swivel and one that has been added later; it has no identifying marks of any kind. We haven't seen a chain of this style before, and we've seen hundreds. An excellent curiosity. An unusual silver plated cigar table lighter circa 1880. This truly futuristic looking Victorian globular 3-1/2" tall smoking accessory stands on ball feet and it has two wick clamps for lighting the cigars. It worked like this: the central wick continually burned whilst the smoker would pull out one clamp which had a fluid-soaked small length of wick clamped in the tweezer. This was lit in the flame, carried to the cigar, and then extinguished and reinserted in its well to soak it for the next cigar. Each tweezer/clamp has a sliding collar to squeeze onto the wick, and this unusual item has the maker's mark for Hirons, Plante & Co. (c1878-1882) of Birmingham, England. This lighter is in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than seven shallow dents on the body. A custom bighorn sheep ram sterling silver and gold nuggets ring probably from the 1970s-80s. This impressive size 10-3/4 rihg features a highly detailed bighorn sheep flanked with two genuine gold nuggets. This ring measures 3/4" wide and 3/4" from nugget to nugget, it weighs 11.2 grams and it is stamped STER with an M maker's mark. The nuggets test well above our 18k acid and they are probably around 22k.
