A World War II nurse's cloak or cape with black and red from the 1940s. This authentic military collectible has a 16" collar (hook to hook), it is 40-3/4" long and it has one closure with two button holes. It was made by Lac-Mac in London (Ontario) Canada and it has the original black painted hanging chain as well as SCGH embroidered on the back of the collar (possibly for St. Catharines General Hospital as it was obtained locally). It has a stitched M.L.M. monogram on the inside of the lapel over the pocket and this wool uniform is in very good condition with no rips, tears, losses, damage or repairs other than some paint loss to the hanging chain and some wear/rubs and a small repair to the inside of the collar. An Art Deco 14k diamond filigree ring from the 1915 - 1920 period. This vintage size 6 yellow gold ring with a white gold top features a 32 point round European antique cut genuine diamond with two flanking diamonds. A simple and elegant Art Deco design four piece sterling silver International tea set c1930s. It consists of the following: the 8" across the handle and spout and 6" high wicker handled teapot, stamped STERLING 2 PTs and 913 with the International plumed knight's helmet mark; the open sugar bowl, 4-1/2" across the handles and 2-1/8" high, stamped INTERNATIONAL STERLING c134, also with the knight's helmet mark; the cream jug, 3-1/2" across the handle and spout and 3" high, stamped INTERNATIONAL STERLING C 134 also with the knight's helmet mark. The tray is made by Towle and it is stamped TOWLE STERLING and 150. The set fits well and looks great on it, although it isn't the same maker (slight surface marks from the tea set). It measures 10-1/2" across, and has a raised straight rim that is 5/8" across and has a rolled edge. The edge curves down, approximately 5/8" deep, to an inner rim. A true rarity of vintage American pressed or pattern glass. This is the 5-1/4" long and 4-5/8" wide wall pocket in the Elephant or Jumbo pattern in amber glass, issued by the King Glass Co. in 1890. Variously described as a match holder, match striker, wall pocket or vase, this item has vivid and crisp detail. It is 2-3/4" deep and is guaranteed to be antique glass. This item is in fair original condition with no chips, losses, damage or repairs other than a large internal crack below the eye and above the tusks. This crack is visible from the front and around the back and it appears to be a dividing line between the light upper glass and the deeper amber hue of the glass in the trunk. A Scottish sterling silver banded agate sword and shield brooch pin dated 1863. Although a common form this example is one of the most ornate and best constructed we have seen. It measures 2-3/4 x 1", the silver is deeply and intricately tooled and the cut and polished banded agates are well matched and are gray (or grey), white and blue striped. The shield is mounted by wire pins through loops on the sword back and most unusual is a hand-etched British hallmark shield with the letter and number cyphers indicating a manufacturing date of Dec. 6, 1863. A detailed intaglio Laws Scottish family crest sterling silver seal ring from 1900-1930. This vintage size 7 ring features the family crest from the Laws family with a cockerel atop the shield and the quote from Horace (30 BCE) "COMPOSITUM JUS TASQUE ANIMI" which has various translations referring to justice, uprightness and nobility of the soul (one version states "A mind which respects alike the laws of mutual justice and of god"). It is a true seal ring, with the crest in reverse so it will appear correct on the actual seal. It is shown reversed in one of our images so you can read it. This classic gentleman's pinky ring is stamped STERLING. It has signs of an earlier resizing which likely caused the sterling mark to be barely visible in the last two letters and no maker's mark is presentand it weighs 11.8 grams. This late Victorian or early Edwardian man's fashion accessory consists of a fine chain with a swivel attached to the pocket clip mount; a mesh strip has a metal mount from which is suspended half of a photo locket which has a high relief horse surrounded by a horseshoe mounted with flashy white rhinestones. A sterling bird Southwest poison ring with turquoise eyes from the 1930s. This unusual and vividly depicted ring is in the form of a bird or owl's head; it has two turquoise cabochon eyes, one green and one blue. It measures 5/8 x 1/2", it is hand made and engraved and it has cutout shoulders. The top opens to reveal a poison compartment (in this case it has an instant relative's photo which can be removed). A stunning Art Deco yellow crystal sterling silver buckle design bangle bracelet from around 1920. This vintage beauty shouts Deco and it has the same silver tooling and buckle clasp as seen on signed DIAMONBAR bracelets by Wachenheimer Bros of Rhode Island (1905-1933) and this is probably an early example. The buckle itself has white rhinestones, the sides are finely and ornately engraved, the interior is cut-out and it is stamped only STERLING. The box clasp and hinge are both heavy duty and the square princess cut lemon yellow crystal stones are a deep and vibrant shade. Yellow was a very popular early 1920s fashion color. A pair of Roden sterling silver handle wood salad servers. These ornate 10-1/4" serving implements feature wooden spoon and fork inserts with sterling silver handles marked with the Roden mark along with REG'D 1901 STERLING. Birks took them over later but the 1901 registry mark indicates an Edwardian date for the manufacture of these servers. A Scottish Dirk pebble and crystal knife pin or brooch from the 1900 era. This late Victorian/early Edwardian pin had fine hand engraving and tooling, the amber stone is of molded glass and the two stones are of red jasper and (probably) black onyx.
