A 14k sapphires & diamonds necklace. A wonderful gift! This is a stylish and opulent 17-3/4" necklace in 14k yellow gold, set with genuine diamonds and genuine deep blue sapphires. The pendant itself measures 2" across and 1-3/8" long; it is set with 40 claw-set diamonds totalling approximately 60 points. It also has four deep blue sapphires - the three facetted oval stones on the drop measure 5 mm x 4 mm. (1.44 carats) and the round at the top is 3 mm. across (.24 carats). All are bezel set, and the pendant is pinioned giving movement to each "wing" segment, the drops and the individual stones. It has a lobster claw closure, it is stamped 585 MEGA D'OR 478 on the loop and 14K on the clasp. A 12K Egyptian rose gold genuine yellow topaz ring. This vintage size 6-1/2 or 6.5 genuine topaz solitaire has gold hallmark for Egypt. The date mark may be for 1943 -1944, but that may vary by city where assayed. The claw-set stone is a rectangular faceted or emerald cut, and is a definite yellow with very slight brown under-tone, and has an excellent clarity. The topaz measures 11.5mm x 9.1mm and has a depth of 7.3mm, so it is slightly over 5 carats in size. The ring weighs 3.2 grams. We also tested the ring, and it appears to be closer to 14K, but is being sold according to its assay mark. It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. Condition details are noted, and items have signs of use as expected. A Dutch silver miniature working windmill. This delightful example of Dutch silver artistry stands 3-3/4" tall and it has freely turning vanes and lots of fine detail. It is in two pieces and it has the Dutch sterling mark as well as the maker's mark for Zaanland Zilver Smederijen (Amsterdam & Haarlem 1920-1990). Before Rolling Stone turned into an irrelevant pile of commercial crap over 40 years ago, it was at the vanguard of the "Underground Press" - a crude newspaper devoted to the counterculture, drugs, music, uncensored political and sexual expression and all things Hippie. Fortunately, being Canadian, the Georgia Straight of Vancouver carried on the anarchistic torch for a few years after RS gave it up, giving us a ribald and unfettered underground newspaper sold in the British Columbia area. From r-rated underground comics (the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers (FFFB) by Gilbert Shelton, Fat Freddie's Cat, and others) to interviews with counterculture icons, this paper is a window on a long-gone world of late 1960s ideals (it started around the same time as RS in 1967). A vintage Forstner double link sterling silver 7-1/4" long charm bracelet with 28 sterling silver charms c1960-70s. A 10k heart openwork diamond ring from the 1980s. This size 5 ring features a single point diamond set into a heart, which is flanked by cutouts. It is quite attractive and would make a great gift. Mexican sterling silver heavy link section bangle bracelet circa 1970s 1980. This modernist sculptural 13/16" wide vintage bracelet is a Castillo design and it consists of fully hinged segments with a tall push-button box clasp. It is stamped TC-117 MEXICO 925 and it weighs an substantial 115.3 grams (3.7 ounces). Nicely finished designer quality. It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. We are not sure if TC-117 was one of the various Castillo studio marks, so unable to attribute it definitely to that firm. It certainly has the weight and stunning quality of a genuine Castillo piece. Each link freely pivots on the hinge and it measures approximately 6-3/4" in length (may be a little longer, the hinges made the tape measure go off a little). The hinges allow it to be round or oval in shape, so the interior measurement is 2" across in the round shape. The widest oval shape is 2-5/8" x 1-5/8". The hinges are just under 1/8" in width, so the measurements were taken from the hinges rather than the interior flat sections. Each link is a maximum 7/16" above the hinge. A 14k gold Mabe pearl and diamonds pearl enhancer pendant for a necklace. This vintage beauty has an 12mm x 6mm genuine Mabe pearl surrounded by six round genuine brilliant cut diamonds circa 1970s. Mabe pearls grow on the inside of the shell rather than the centre, so they are curved at the front but flatter at back. This necklace pendant has a pearl enhancer type loop, which means it can also be worn over a strand of pearls or some other gem stone or bead necklace also. Also lovely on a chain alone as the pendant. The pearl alone measures 12 mm. across and the six genuine modern single cut diamonds are set in white gold, with yellow gold surrounding. It weighs 3.6 grams and it has a swing-open clasp with a snap-on safety catch. Great idea for a wedding pearl necklace that can be worn over pearls or other beads. The entire pendant size is 6mm (a bit over 5/8" across - that measurement does not include the loop section, it is the measurement of the pearl section only. Including loop, it is 22mm, or approximately 7/8". The pearl is approximately 1/4" or 6mm deep, possibly just a bit more, as it is measured in setting. It is stamped 14 K. A vintage 1960s Rosko Japan Hy-Que Speak No Evil mechanical steel and plastic battery operated monkey toy. This famous 17" tall toy has brightly lithographed metal parts and soft rubber hands and head with fur. The clothing is intact and in excellent shape as is the metalwork (it rates a visual C9 to us). The mechanism doesn't work, however the face does light up. The battery tray is clean with only minor stains and it is free of corrosion.
