A 19th century Dutch red glass bracelet with a 14k clasp. This Victorian era 19th century 7-3/4" hand cut red glass bead four strand bracelet is complete with an unmarked but tested 14k yellow gold clasp. The beads have a rich red garnet colour and the 3/4" wide box clasp has three large faceted red glass beads. It was obtained from the estate of another similar red glass bead necklace which had Dutch gold marks, and this lovely necklace is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some expected minute edge chipping and abrasions to some of the red beads (barely noticeable) and some denting to the clasp. Victorian cobalt glass oil lamp with etched chimney and enamel from the 1890s. This tall table lamp has a 10-1/2" deep cobalt blue base with an open cut pontil, an original Plume & Atwood Mfg. Co. 2-3/4" brass burner and collar and an etched glass 9-1/4" large glass chimney. The burner has a second 1897 renewed patent date and the burner and flat wick show no signs of use at all (no wick char or burner darkening) and there is no smell of lamp oil or kerosene. The body of the lamp has hand painted white, gold and yellow decoration with gold leaves and the chimney has a band of ribbons and torches. It stands a total of 21" tall and it is all-original and not a recent copy. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs however the shallow chimney acid etching has a few worn spots and the gold leaves on the base show some wear as well. An antique Art Nouveau period Scottish sterling silver two piece belt buckle, depicting the Green Man, a well known creature from ancient United Kingdom mythology. He is associated with birth and re-birth, and the coming of spring. Wide silver buckles of this size - 4-3/4" x 2-3/8" - in solid silver, silver plate or gold were often presented to a young graduate nurses by their families or by consultants at the hospital they were then working as graduate nurses, as their badge was the wide black belt of their nursing uniform. One of my nurse friends who trained in the UK says this practice was still usual into the 1950s. This buckle is fully hallmarked for Glasgow, Scotland 1897-8 and it has the maker's mark for (possibly) James Forest. It weighs 47.8 grams, and this late Victorian period vintage beauty is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. An early Victorian 18k Socrates carnelian intaglio signet ring. This antique size 7-3/4 or 7.75 rose gold mid-19th century ring is completely hand made. It and it features a deeply carved carnelian intaglio portrait of Socrates. It is simply executed but stylish with subtle design flourishes. It measures 7/8 x 5/8" across the bezel-set intaglio gem stone. It has a full set of stretched and now obscured hallmarks - it tests as 18K. Although the stone is a substantial size, this ring in the 18thC and 19thC worn on a gentleman's pinkie finger as a pinkie ring. In order to save gold some jewellers would stretch the shank to resize the ring rather than solder another section of gold to effect the sizing and that appears to be the case here. It weighs 8.4 grams and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs, it does show wear and patination commensurate with age.

A scarce WMF boy with snail pewter card tray circa 1900. This original period Art Nouveau oval calling card salver measures 11" x 5-3/8". it was made in Germany by WMF. WMF is the short form in current company use by the highly regarded German metal manufacturer Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik which began in 1853 in Geislingen an der Steige. This tray has the 210 embossed pattern number and WMFB 0X under the boy's hair on the back. It is all original and not a reproduction and we haven't polished it preferring to maintain the wonderful patina only developed with age (many are over-polished or have been silver plated). An 800 silver Art Nouveau floral German napkin ring circa 1900. This high style, high relief table decor item measures 1-1/2" wide and 1-7/8" across the interior. The beautiful design goes around the outside and it has a fancy Gothic B monogram as well as a full set of hallmarks from Germany. It also has the maker's mark for Franz Mosgau of Berlin (est. 1807) and this item dates to the 1895-1900 era. It is in very good condition with a small dent/rim split at the top rim of the napkin ring which is at the seam where the silver was soldered into a ring. It has various small and shallow dents and bends most of which are most likely from the hand forming and embossing of this item. A true rarity of vintage American pressed or pattern glass. This is the 5-1/4" long and 4-5/8" wide wall pocket in the Elephant or Jumbo pattern in amber glass, issued by the King Glass Co. in 1890. Variously described as a match holder, match striker, wall pocket or vase, this item has vivid and crisp detail. It is 2-3/4" deep and is guaranteed to be antique glass. This item is in fair original condition with no chips, losses, damage or repairs other than a large internal crack below the eye and above the tusks. This crack is visible from the front and around the back and it appears to be a dividing line between the light upper glass and the deeper amber hue of the glass in the trunk. It can't be felt from the front but can be felt with a fingernail on the interior - the integrity of the piece is intact. This late Victorian 8-1/4" bracelet is made of a piece of graduated watch chain (the links range from 5/16 to 7/16") with a non-rotating sterling swivel. Each link has an English lion silver mark and the swivel has an S.G maker's mark with a lion and k year stamp (probably 1884, possibly by Samuel Garside, a Birmingham silver chain maker).
