A scarce sterling silver filigree posey holder pin circa 1900 1910. This antique 2-1/4" long and 1" across (unmarked but tested) fantastic posy or corsage brooch is an example of ornate and very fine silver work. The ball and wire end makes me think it may be an older Indonesian / Yogya piece. It was assembled from three separate sections of filigree silver. It may be older than our estimate. This possible bridal item either started out as a flower bouquet holder and had the pin added or was always a posy-pin. It has a c-clasp. It can readily be converted to (or back to) a small bouquet holder. It weighs 12.6 grams, and it is in excellent condition for its age and fineness, with no corrosion or repairs other than what appears to be a small section of missing wire and the c-clasp has been repaired. All condition issues are noted. All items are vintage or antique and may have signs of use and patination as would be expected. Expedited insured tracked shipping to the U.S. starts at $24 (other spots may vary) - insurance and tracking are included in shipping quotes. A Pforzheim Germany plique-a-jour enamel Arts and Crafts necklace from the 1910 era. This stunning survivor from the Edwardian era was made in the Pforsheim area of Germany which was the center of such items. Plique-a-jour (French: "Light of Day") refers to the labour-intensive technique of repeatedly firing enamel in metal-bordered cells resembling cloisonne, resulting in unbacked transluscent panels. This fine example measures 1-7/8 x 15/16", it has a baroque pearl drop and a pink tourmaline in silver (800 grade or better) with pale lavender purple enamel panels. The best exponent of this work was the firm of Levinger & Bissinger who were prime exponents of the Jugendstil movement. Included is a contemporary associated arts and crafts 25-3/8" chain (stamped STERLING on the hook and eye clasp) from which is suspended the pendant on a 4-1/8" drop with a hook suspension. The pendant has an impossible to read mark which appears to be a diamond cartouche containing a B and a possible animal head - a silver mark but as yet unidentified. This piece looks like the work of Levinger & Bissinger but we are unable to definitively confirm it's one of their pieces. An antique 40 drawer pine store spice cabinet. This exceptional 19th century find is most likely Canadian and it dates from the late 19th century to the very early 20th century. It features four rows of ten drawers each and each row has drawers of a different size (one large drawer has a tin divider which may have been added later). All drawers and the back of the cabinet are constructed of tin and the frame and drawer fronts are of old and very heavy pine. It is of forged nail construction and with this many drawers it was undoubtedly from a store, grocer or apothecary and it would be great for hardware, buttons, sewing supplies or just for display. Most of these cabinets are small and either for a tabletop or wall mounted; this one measures 32" x 18-1/2" x 6-5/8" deep. It weighs an impressive 46-1/2 pounds (old, thick pine is HEAVY) and it retains all of its original porcelain knobs or pulls with brass center screws and nuts. It is unsigned and it has been lovingly refinished and there are traces of old paint in the drawers and on the tin backing. It is in excellent condition with no losses, damage or repairs other than a trim loss on the lower right front corner and the refinishing. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
