A Birks 14K gold charm bracelet with 7 different 14k or 18K figural charms circa 1930s and possibly later. The bracelet itself is 7-1/2" long and the loops are 1/4" at widest. The charms are:
- an 18k gold ladies figure skate with a white painted enamel except for the skate inner flap, which is red. About 1/5 of the enamel is worn, otherwise quite intact. 3/4" x 5/8".
- a moveable 18k Italian Commedia dell'Arte sad clown figure. He is not always shown with the pointed cap, and the face is a bird mask. Modern versions of this figure rarely show that cap, now it is usually a rounded one. His arms and legs move freely. The large round raised dots are meant to represent his oversized pompoms. 1-3/8" tall.
- a 14k Spanish bullfighter/toreador with cape and bull. 7/8" tall.
- an 18k Venetian gondola boat with gondolier figure. 1-1/8" length.
an 18k donkey or pack animal with harness and saddle. 3/4" x 1/2" tall
- a 14k horn - it is either an older bugle horn or a traditional hunting horn. 3/4" x 1/2". (585 mark).
- an 18k bucket with handle containing a champagne bottle (European hallmarks, possibly French). 3/4" tall.
The bracelet is stamped BIRKS and 14Kt on one side. The charms are all stamped on the charms or on the attached loops. The charm measurements do not include the bale loops as part of the height measurement. The bale loops are all soldered except for the figure skate. The bracelet weight is 21.1 grams. A vintage lady's Benrus wristwatch in 14k white gold c1950s-1960. This 11/16" across watch has a Speidel expansion band with white gold plating. It is stamped 14K GOLD on the back, the works are stamped TWENTY-ONE 21 JEWELS UNADJUSTED SWISS BENRUS WATCH Co INC MODEL DZ 401. A fine original Art Deco period glass beaded long flapper necklace c1920s. This impressive 40" necklace is 3/8" across the triple-strand segments, and it has a fringed 1-3/4" x 1-1/8" beaded drop. The beads are silvered clear beads, yellow spacers, with dark yellow and blue beads on the drop. The blue beads form the letter M, and there is one segment strand of blue beads and a couple of errant blue beads in the necklace itself. A scarce covered jar in the early American pressed or pattern glass Festoon pattern, issued by Beatty Brady Glass Co. (Indiana 1898). A vintage, original dated hand tinted copper plate stipple engraving by Francesco Bartolozzi dated 1786. This print measures 11" x 8-3/8" (imprint size) and it is in a later (c.1900) painted and gilt 14-3/4" x 11-3/4" frame. It has the following inscriptions: "Painted by Sir Joshua Reynolds", London. Published Dec 12th 1786 by E.M. Diemar, No. 114 Strand, and "Engraved by F. Bartolozzi, R.A. Engraver to His Majesty. The image is titled The Honourable Miss Bingham" and it has flesh and blue hand tinting. A Barker Bros. silver plated asparagus server cradle with tray. This super classy table server consists of the 11-1/2 x 6" pierced footed asparagus cradle or drainer and the matching 15-1/4 x 6-1/8" two-handled underplate or tray with bun feet. The cradle has a wirework frame and rest for a butter or sauce boat (not present) and the tray has the mark for Barker Brothers of Birmingham, England. This vegetable server probably dates to the 1950s and it is in excellent condition with no wear, monograms, dents, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a slight downturn on one corner of the cradle and the loss of the small sauce pourer. A Barbour Silver Co. silver plated tilt kettle, stand and associated burner from the 1890s. It has a simple, elegant design and it stands 13" tall from the top of the ebony wood handle to the bottom of the stand's ball feet. The base is unsigned, the kettle is stamped BARBOUR SILVER CO. NICKEL SILVER 4002 (operating from 1892-98) and the associated burner has the Meriden stamp. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends or corrosion, however the handle supports have been resoldered to the kettle, the kettle and stand appear to have been replated and the flame smothering cap on the burner has broken off and is lost (but it can be repaired or the burner can be replaced with a similarly sized one). The kettle has an ASA (or ALS) monogram on the shoulder. A nice formal and usable accessory for your table or dinner party. A splendid 17-1/2" carved and lathe turned bakelite necklace c1920s-30s. This necklace consists of turned and hand-carved bakelite beads in oval, round and barrel forms; the colours include off-white, swirled tan, 2 colour pale green and brown. Most beads have variable colour layers and stripes, and the between triple disc striped spacers are all one piece. This unsigned necklace has the original brass barrel clasp and it ranges from 3/16" to 3/4" wide. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs.
