An Art Deco Lightolier luster Czech glass shade ceiling lamp from the 1920s. This scarce beauty has a paneled Czechoslovakian pale yellow lustre glass shade with floral screened designs in blue, yellow and orange. The shade is stamped LIGHTOLIER and it measures 8-1/8" across the open bottom and 9-1/4" in total across. The top opening is 6-3/4" and this lamp retains its original cream-painted metal mount with three metal spokes with finger screws. The socket assembly is gilded and this lamp has the original chain, mounting nut and central threaded core; it has been recently rewired and it works and shows beautifully. Lightolier was the brand name for lamps made by Bernhard Blitzer Gas and Appliance Co. of Brooklyn, New York who started out in the 1800s before changing to Lightolier early in the century. This classy addition to your home decor is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a few very small shallow flakes to the unfinished edge of the shade's inside top rim from mounting to the bracket. All condition issues are noted. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. A pair of gilt brass roses metalwork table lamps with marble bases from the 1930s 1940s. These beauties stand 25-3/4" to the tops of the original finials and the bases are genuine black veined marble. They may actually date from the 1920s and they have been rewired and resocketed. The pleated silk shades shown are later (and were on the lamps when we acquired them) and they can be included if you wish (they have minor staining/spotting) but that will raise the shipping costs substantially. The antiqued patination is intact but attractively mellowed and the metalwork could use a good, gentle cleaning. They are in very good condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than two marble lower corner chips on one lamp. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Expedited tracked and insured parcel shipping to the U.S. starts at $48 (other spots may vary, air is higher). Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. An authentic 1920s slag glass scenic chandelier ceiling lamp. This hexagonal 16" across and 12" deep beauty features caramel swirl slag glass panels, an upper gallery of blue, purple and caramel slag panels and a lower skirt of blue, purple and deep yellow panels resembling cloudy sky under cutout scenic gold patinated and lacquered brass framework structure of a house with trees. It is unsigned, it has the original gilded brass canopy and it has been resocketed and rewired. We've shown it lit with a 25 watt candle bulb but a higher wattage will look quite impressive. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks to the glass, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than some minor splits and gaps on the crude original welding of the panels not affecting the stability of the lamp. ****This item is available for pick up only - there has been a large increase in damage during shipping lately and insurance will not cover anything antique or breakable. **** All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. An antique Japanese Meiji period solid silver picture frame circa 1880-1900. This antique 5-1/2" x 3-1/2" frame has a bamboo pattern with a patterned ground; it has a textured snakeskin design paper over wood backing that originally had a support foot for standing up the frame. That is now missing and replaced with a wire so it can be hung on the wall. The frame front has copper round-head nails. It retains the original patterned backing paper and glass window. It is unmarked, as was often the case with older Japanese pieces, but tests as very high grade silver, sterling or likely higher, as .950 grade was often used in Japan. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the loss of the foot rest and slight bending at the lower right hand corner (very minor). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use as would be expected. Silver and silver plated items are hand-polished, not buffed, and our halogens and magnified images may exaggerate otherwise barely noticeable scratches and flaws. GUARANTEE: ALL of our items are antique or vintage and from the period listed. NONE are reproductions or recreations. A hand painted porcelain lamp - Noritake? This fine quality porcelain lamp has gilt metal mounts and it is in the Prattware style.
