An Aynsley 28 yellow and pink roses tea cup and saucer from the 1970s. The teacup is 2-5/8" high and the matching saucer is 5-3/4" across. It has a petal and leaf relief shape with a scalloped edge and gold trim and it would make a lovely display as well as a very nice teacup for your tea or coffee. The roses have green leaves and yellow petals tipped with pink and the stems are red. It has a rose inside the cup and gold trim and gold patterned borders. It is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A copy of A Wreath of Canadian Song by C.M. Whyte-Edgar dated 1910. This is an original boxed presentation copy with a kid leather soft cover and the original presentation cardboard box with the title sticker. Now reprinted, this is an original with gold stamped embossing on the front and spine. It has the tissue-protected plates and is fully gilded on all edges. It was published by William Briggs of Toronto. Condition is excellent on this 8 x 5-3/8" book and it retains its original page ribbon placemarker. There are no folds, tears, foxing or other damage and there is a short ballpoint pen mark on the front cover which has overhanging edges beyond the pages. The box is rough with the lid having some staining, 3 corner splits and one flap split 2/5 of the way down. The box bottom has edge wear and some tight splitting. We haven't found another copy in this format (all originals so far have a leather wrapped hard cover). This attractive 9/16" brooch features the thick applied letter A which is set with seed pearls; it is mounted on a black onyx center in a gold embossed rim with AVON HIGHEST HONOR. An authentic 1920s slag glass scenic chandelier ceiling lamp. This hexagonal 16" across and 12" deep beauty features caramel swirl slag glass panels, an upper gallery of blue, purple and caramel slag panels and a lower skirt of blue, purple and deep yellow panels resembling cloudy sky under cutout scenic gold patinated and lacquered brass framework structure of a house with trees. It is unsigned, it has the original gilded brass canopy and it has been resocketed and rewired. We've shown it lit with a 25 watt candle bulb but a higher wattage will look quite impressive. Aubrey Beardsley The Yellow Book with 3 volumes available (priced each). This is a group of three of the famous English illustrated quarterly called The Yellow Book. This late 19th century series featured art, essays, discussions, poetry and criticism. They were 8-1/4 x 7" hardbacks in yellow and featured artistic cover illustrations as well as inserted plates, including illustrations by Aubrey Beardsley and others. Offered here is Volume 1 April 1894 Second Edition, with four Beardsley illustrations as well as the cover, 272 pages (excluding end advertisements and lists). An Arts & Crafts patinated bronze ink well from the 1900 to 1910 era. This Edwardian writing or desk accessory features green patination with a fine A&C gold stencil on the front above the pen rest. It stands 3-7/8" tall, 3" wide and 4-1/2" deep. It retains its original blown clear glass inkwell or ink pot and it is stamped BENEDICT ADAM VERO 2213 on the bottom. An Arts and Crafts period 800 silver and cut glass claret jug circa 1900. This antique large claret decanter has a heavy silver handle and hinged top with a ball thumb rest setd on a cut crystal decanter. It measures 13-7/8" in height and 5-1/2" across the base. It is stamped Gebr. Friedland, a Berlin jewellery retai firml, operated by the sons after the death of the founder Friedland in 1829. It has the German silver quality marks (post-1888 crescent & crown stamp), 800 silver, 49961 and the manfacturer's mark for Koch & Bergfeld of Bremen (est. 1829). There is a very finely engraved heraldic family crest with a fish, knight's helmet with three feathers and engraved scrolling. This this top quality rarity is in excellent condition with no cracks, etching or discoloration, silver corrosion or damage, repairs or alterations; there is a 1/4" chip to the crystal on the bottom rim which is only slightly noticeable when the piece is displayed from that side. An Art Nouveau sterling silver lady with poppy brooch circa 1900. A flowing haired fin-du-siecle beauty, staring wistfully off, with a large poppy (a symbol of forgetfulness) beside her. It is a large brooch, measuring 2" x 2-1/4". It is stamped STERLING and it has the original c-clasp. Kerr and Gorham and a few other firms were well known for these sterling hollow Art Nouveau face pins. It is stamped Sterling only, but is clearly a fine quality example.
