A 19th century Tunbridge Ware inlaid roses box. This 6 x 2" Tunbridge ware box has a central panel of inlaid small squares of wood arranged in a roses pattern. This box is composed of various woods and it is well-constructed. It is unsigned and it has a (replaced) velvet liner. This fine piece of craftsmanship is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than the loss of one tiny wood square and some minor separation at some seams and a lightened area on one end of the bottom (see images). These English tableware items have an unusual colourway, with turquoise, red and a luster border. Some pieces are stamped CLOVIS 9030 and most have year stamps indicating a manufacturing date in the early 1870s. All items are currently in stock unless marked SOLD. An extremely fine late 19th century natural shell cameo mounted in 12K yellow gold circa 1890. This large 2-1/8" x 1-3/4" cameo features a beautifully hand carved left-facing portrait of a lovely woman - her hair is shown with a most unusual wind-swept appearance, really graceful and remarkably realistic. It has a gate-latch safety catch and it weighs 17.4 grams. This item is in excellent antique condition with no chips, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than some fine internal stress lines just below the portrait. A superb sterling silver repousse locket and engraved chain dated 1884. A fine example of sumptious Victorian sterling silver craftsmanship! This 2-1/4 x 1-5/8" sterling silver photo locket has a complex design and inset rose and green gold highlights on the central flower. It has a full set of Birmingham, England silver hallmarks on the undecorated side corresponding to the year 1884, and it has an I.H maker's mark. This pendant includes the ornately hand engraved 18-1/4 x 5/8" flat-link chain necklace, which has a large springring catch. This necklace weighs 53.4 grams, and it is in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses or damage except for some fine denting on the plain back, tool marks from the flattening of some dents and some identifying symbols on the interior. Please not that although this locket closes firmly it shows a slight gap on the edge when closed (probably from the dent removal work). A Victorian 14k yellow gold diamond ring with a nice quality antique round cut diamond circa 1890-1900. This antique size 7-1/2 or 7.5 ring features an approximately 18 point antique cut diamond in a sunken star setting (measured by gauge) with hand engraved shoulders. The ring is unmarked with the stamps having been removed when the ring band was re-hooped in the past but it tests as 14k, and the diamond has been tested also. It weighs 4.8 grams. Appraisal no longer present. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A quality late 19thC 750 silver jug with baronial crests by J Wagner and Sohn ( Son ) Germany. This antique 5-1/4" tall cream pitcher has a wrythen or twisted groove style and a thumb rest as well as classic hoof shape feet. It is stamped J. WAGNER & SOHN 750 M, it weighs 195 grams, and it has two finely engraved baronial heraldic crests engraved on one side indicating that it was probably originally a wedding present. A Victorian 14k black and white sardonyx cameo ring circa 1870s. This antique size 3-1/2 or 3.5 hand carved stone features a portrait cameo of a woman. It measures 7/16 x 5/16" across the yellow gold setting and is stamped 14 K (rubbed). It weighs 1.6 grams. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A great gift for a child or your pinkie, or could be sized up. A true survivor. This is a 6-3/4" x 5" double well papier-mache tea caddy with ornate decoration with a porcelain miniature c1850-60. This attractive tea caddy stands 4-1/4" high and the hinged lid lifts to reveal the twin compartments, whose lids have hand carved and decorated mother-of-pearl grips. The wells have a gray painted lining. It has conical decorated gilt brass feet and ornate hand painted polychrome and gold decoration on the lid, base and front panel. An unusual feature consists of a gilt brass mount holding a hand painted porcelain miniature of a lady on the lid. This box retains the original lock (no key), and it has some condition issues: losses to the lid's corners, some loss and darkening to areas of the decoration due to a fire which coated the box in soot, loss of gilding to the portrait's brass mount, splitting of one wood foot, some craqueleur to the black finish, damage to the hinge mounts on the lid (which is detached from the hinges). The soot was gently removed and a lot of the decoration remains - otherwise this is a survivor which can be restored. This handsome caddy is sold in as is as described condition, we do not know a restorer. Two of the forks are hallmarked Edinburgh 1857-58, and four are hallmarked Edinburgh 1881-2. They are all the same size (8" in length and 1 1/16" at the widest), they average 75 grams each, and all have what appears to be a beaver rampant crest. The maker is the same - RG - who may possibly be either R. Green or R. Grierson of Edinburgh. They are all in excellent condition with no worn spots, pitting or damage, & none have been initialled. They show only very minor & expected surface scratches that come from ordinary use, and all are in excellent condition for their age. - $125 ea

A fine quality Rose Canton 19th century 9" tall pitcher or ewer. This Qing Dynasty jug features flowers, butterflies and birds and a gold-circled floral medallion. The painting and enamelling are good quality and of Famille Verte colour. Larger examples of the 19thC Rose Canton pitchers are not commonly seen now. A scarce covered jar in the early American pressed or pattern glass Festoon pattern, issued by Beatty Brady Glass Co. (Indiana 1898). This 7-1/2" jar (including lid) has a crisp and attractive pattern with much raised detail; it is in very good condition with no losses, damage or repairs other than some minor upper edge chipping where the lid sits on the upper rim and one 5/8" internal impact crack on the bottom rim (intact with no loss). A cranberry thumbprint pattern glass pickle cruet on a silver plated stand from the 1890 era. The ornate stand is 11-3/4" tall and it has a nice decorative design as does the original silver plated lid; it is stamped with the Standard Silver Co. mark, which was in business in Toronto before 1893 (they later merged with International in 1913). The cranberry glass liner/jar has a thumbprint pattern and it fits snugly in the rim on the base. Also included is a fine, contemporary pair of pickle tongs. A 19th century Dutch red glass necklace with a 14k carnelian clasp. This Victorian era 19th century 36-1/4" hand cut red glass bead necklace is complete with a Dutch hallmarked 14k yellow gold clasp. The beads have a rich red garnet colour and the 1/2" diameter box clasp has a natural carnelian stone with an inset gold flourish at the center. It has the Dutch oak leaf gold mark in use from 1852-1906, and this lovely necklace is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some expected minute edge chipping and abrasions to some of the red beads (barely noticeable). A Martin Hall Victorian English silver plated meat dome. This 12-1/4" x 9-3/8" meat dome or cover was made by Martin, Hall & Co. of Sheffield, England (1854-1934). This table serving piece features a bolted and pegged finial with a wing nut and it stands 8-3/4" high. It is stamped 1127 EPNS with the maker's mark, and it is in excellent condition with no monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than one small penpoint protruberant dent and a nearby shallow penpoint dent. The plating is completely intact and this dome is in superb condition.
