The colour is a top quality excellent F colour, and the stone is I-1 clarity, as there is a tiny chip located on the underside of the diamond near one claw. The elegant custom made design of the ring has a graceful flow on the textured sides. A Fumio Tamura 1969 Nokemono framed litho print 2/7. This evocative semi-erotic colour lithograph print entitled "Nokemono" (translated from Japanese - outcast) was produced in 1969 by Fumio Tamura (Japan, 1941-). Fumio Tamura was born in the Nagano prefecture, and he graduated from Tokyo Art College in 1968, so this 1969 litho dates from early in his career. It is in a metal frame, and it measures 24-1/2" x 21", with an image size of 18" x 14-1/2". It is a very small edition issue, inscribed in pencil 2/7, with the title in Japanese and in English NOKEMONO and it has the artist's signature F. Tamura '69. It retains the original Toronto gallery sticker on the back, and this print is is in excellent condition with no foxing, tears, staining, fading, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A 10K white gold synthetic Alexandrite ring circa 1960. This vintage size 5 ring measures 3/8" x 3/8" across the claws, which hold a faceted synthetic Alexandrite stone which changes colour from purple to more of a gray-blue depending on the ambient lighting. These simulated alexandrites are usually corundum laced with vanadium to produce the color change under different types of lighting, or a treated colourless chrysoberyl. This created gemstone has been around for almost 100 years, and the stones usually test as corundums on a gem tester (natural genuine alexandrites are expensive and uncommon, most of what you will see for sale is the simulated version). This ring weighs 2.6 grams, it is marked 10K with a circled A maker's mark, and the stone measures approximately 8mm x 8mm x 5mm, or approximately 2.3 carats. The Kidds Southern Ontario garage band photo circa 1965. This professionally photographed and framed portrait of the mid-1960s garage/psych band The Kidds, who recorded one 45 rpm single record ("Children in Love") for Nestor Records, was purchased at a local auction in St. Catharines, Ontario (near Niagara Falls), the hometown of the band and many others of the era. The 14-1/2 x 11-1/2" photo is matted in a 20-3/4 x 16-3/4" black painted wood frame and it is initialed on the lower right by the photographer. It is high quality and genuine, and most likely unpublished. There is a documentary on Niagara area bands which features the Kidds, and using that and the invaluable help of the kind people at the Garage Hangover internet site we have a positive identification of the band. Interestingly this photo is NOT shown in the documentary although lots of other items are featured (search for Miil for The Big Story of Small Potatoes documentary). A Barker Bros. silver plated asparagus server cradle with tray. This super classy table server consists of the 11-1/2 x 6" pierced footed asparagus cradle or drainer and the matching 15-1/4 x 6-1/8" two-handled underplate or tray with bun feet. The cradle has a wirework frame and rest for a butter or sauce boat (not present) and the tray has the mark for Barker Brothers of Birmingham, England. This vegetable server probably dates to the 1950s and it is in excellent condition with no wear, monograms, dents, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a slight downturn on one corner of the cradle and the loss of the small sauce pourer. A sterling chain link charm bracelet with 9 charms from the 1960s. This 7-1/4" bracelet measures 3/16" across the flat oval links which are connected by small twist links. It has a springring clasp which is marked AIRFLEX on the loop and STERLING on the springring. These are not rhodium plated unlike the chain and may not be original to this bracelet. The charms include: lady diver (traces of red paint), bird (enamel, minor loss), figure skater, Disneyland (enamel crest), slippers, teddy bear, Aquarius, twin hearts on chains (not rhodium plated), flower with purple "stone". All have silver marks except for Disneyland, twin hearts, figure skater, bird and diver.
