It has fine floral high relief feet and floral bands plus hand tooling and a pebbled finish on the top panel. It has a hinged lid with a tight spout cover and the finial is a basket with flowers and it would make a fine syrup pitcher. A scarce 19th century ironstone 6-3/8" plate in the scarce Canadian pattern retailed and signed by F.T. Thomas, Quebec, Canada. This brown transfer plate features a view of Montmorency Fall Winter View and it has the pattern's beaver, vine and flower border. This piece of historical Canadian dinnerware is in fair condition with some condition issues including a a tight crack, some staining and darkening of the allover crazing lines. An antique 9K men's signet ring with a photo locket top. This Victorian gentleman's size 8-1/2 or size 8.5 ring features a 5/8" x 1/2" upper section fashioned from an actual Victorian hinged photo locket which has been soldered shut and engraved with an ornate Gothic GWS monogram. It has Birmingham, England hallmarks for 1864 (no Queen's head). This ring bears an inscription on the interior under the top section of WITH FONDEST LOVE LIZZIE. It weighs 6.7 grams. We have not attempted to break the solder and open it. A distinctly different unusual love token item of jewellery. It is in excellent antique condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a gold solder line from an old re-sizing at one side. An 1867 English silver plate steeplechase award cup or goblet. This impressive and ornate English silver plate steeplechase award cup stands 8-1/8" high and 4-3/8" across and this award trophy is in the shape of a goblet or footed cup. This unmarked beauty features high repousse decoration with fruit and scrolling and it has two cartouches with engraved dedications. One side says WINNER OF R.A.C. STEEPLE CHASE with the Royal Agricultural College Cirencester crest and the other is engraved E.A. CLIFFORD AP. 3RD 1867 with a DULCIS AMOR PATRIAE emblem ("Sweet is the love of one's country"). A Vict. gp & mop fancy spring extendable watch chain. This truly unusual 12" spring-loaded expanding Victorian gold plated over brass watch chain has with mother of pearl sections. This 1/2" wide chain features engraved round links with pierced loops, round thick plain loops and designed flattened patterned loops; it also has two spring-loaded segments with mother-of-pearl inserted sections. Each spring segment has engraving and finely made pivots and channels for the expansion spring; one has what appears to be either an old repair or for some other purpose, possibly a hanging component. It has one original swivel and one that has been added later; it has no identifying marks of any kind. We haven't seen a chain of this style before, and we've seen hundreds. An excellent curiosity. This item is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, corrosion, damage or repairs other than some bending and the loss of one wire to the grooved links, some minor wear to the gold plating, the addition of one swivel and the possible alteration to one spring segment. A Victorian Aesthetic butterflies gilt basket with a cranberry glass bowl liner dated 1869. This antique serving piece is truly superb, from the immaculately detailed gilded butterfly basket with a swing handle to the original cranberry glass bowl with a polished base. The three feet have fine hand engraving and most unusually each of the seven butterflies has the old English diamond registry mark incorporated into the design, not added or stamped on later. Although unsigned this is a work of superb craftsmanship and the registry number dates the design to 1869. It measures 4-1/2" across and it stands 5-3/4" tall with the handle upright. It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, losses, damage or repairs other than a few small areas of darkening to the gilding and a couple of very tiny edge nicks to the liner. It may have been regilded at some point, although not necessarily so. A fine piece for your shelf or table. This 12-1/4" man's accessory has a t-bar and a swivel and the decorative and fancy slide and ends all have hand engraving.
