A 14k white gold genuine ruby and diamonds ring circa 1940s. This elegant vintage size 6-1/4 or 6.25 quatrefoil shape ring features a central 42 point natural oval ruby of medium dark purplish red colour with light inclusions, surrounded by two brilliant and 24 single cut diamonds (total 26 points, SI, G-H colour). The ring is a style which looks lovely on a hand. The jewel part of the ring measures 13/16" long and x 1/2" wide across the finger. It is marked 14 K and has a maker's mark of TJF or TIF (mark worn), and it weighs 4.1 grams. Thoughtful 75th or ruby anniversary or July or April birthday. A vintage single row 10 button plus 5 bass button German maade Hohner accordion or melodeon. This example features ornate gold stencilling on the black patinated wood, orange bellows and a pierced chrome plated grille. This unit is clean and fully functional (and LOUD) and the straps and bellows are in superb condition. This well-made and decorative 4-1/4 x 3-1/4" smoking accessory has black patination and inlaid copper both outside and inside the front cover. It also has black patination and hand incising and tooling on both sides and surfaces. The view is a copper bridge over a stream with mountains and trees in the background. It has a pushbutton clasp, a metal cigarette retaining strap and a signature on the back cover which may be a maker's mark or a description of the scene. A vintage Waterloo Academy clarinet in its original fitted 1930s-50s style hardbody case, complete with an Evette and Schaeffer France mouthpiece and six new packaged reeds. All pieces are present, all valves and springs are operational, and all pieces save the mouthpiece are stamped WATERLOO ACADEMY (possibly Waterloo, Ontario, Canada). We don't play the clarinet and we aren't sure of its key however all pieces appear to be present. The horn appears to be in very good condition with a patina from use but no breaks or repairs, and the case has been repaired in brown tape.
