An Art Nouveau sterling daisy flower purse handle chain from the 1900 era. This 16-3/8" chain consists of oval daisy flower cast sterling silver links which are 3/8" wide. Originally on a late Victorian purse, this chain has two large loop for mounting but it could easily have a clasp added for use as a necklace (or a doubled bracelet). A Victoria Austria R.S. Prussia ornate lustre teapot. This antique Edwardian bone china porcelain teapot with a floral and lustre finish c1910 stands 6-3/4" high to the top of the fancy finial and it measures 7-5/8" from the spout to the edge of the handle. It was made (and stamped by) Victoria Austria who bought blanks for factory decoration - in this case a genuine R.S. Prussia blank. This lovely tableware serving item has a pale greenish/yellow ground with pink and green floral arrays plus greenish/blue highlights and gold embellishment. A Royal Bayreuth sheep in meadow wall plaque from the 1900 1910 era. This attractive handpainted over transfer 9-5/8" porcelain wall plaque (or cabinet plate) depicts 5 sheep in a pasture. An English late Victorian mother of pearl handle fish set for six in fitted case 1890 1900. This set includes six 6-1/2" fish forks and six 7-3/8" scimitar-shaped fish knives. Each piece has a sterling silver patterned ferrule with silver plated blades and colourful genuine mother-of-pearl handles. The purple satin and velvet interior of the box has fitted compartments with locking brass fittings. A massive Japanese 19thC bronze jardiniere or plant holder with raised or bas-relief detail. This handsome antique signed Japanese bronze work stands 13-1/2" tall and it measures 11-1/2" across the opening. This is a large example of a classic bowl design, and it has a nice patination (appears somewhat lightened in our photographs to show detail). It features perching and flying birds and floral branches, a decorated collar with bat designs (a sign of luck and prosperity) and incised decoration. It has an applied signature planchet on the bottom, which has not yet been translated. It has some patina inside from use. A sterling silver nutmeg grater circa 1890s. It may actually be older. This American antique 1-3/4" x 1-3/8" egg shaped sterling grater has the original interior gilt rasp and interior gilding. Nutmeg was an expensive imported spice when first introduced to Europe and to North America, and it became enormously popular as a condiment. A sterling silver nutmeg grater was a sign of prosperity, as well as indicating a great fondness for the spice, of which aficionados would grate to their own taste when sitting down to eat. Not easy to find them anymore. This antique example features fine ornate leaf hand engraving and a dedication saying Z.S.J. to M.M.J. 25th. Dec 1893. A fine Christmas gift indeed. It is stamped STERLING along the gilt inner rim, the gilding on the interior and rasp is a rich gold in colour and intact. A pair of stunning hand painted and gilt metal mounted 19th century Sevres style plant pots or jardinieres. This pair consists of two French porcelain 9-1/2" diameter and 7-3/4" tall planters with white glazed interiors and painted scenes on the exterior. The scenes include floral panels and 18th century couples on a deep turquoise blue ground with hand gilding. Each pot is mounted on a footed gilt brass stand, which has two side straps with lion heads with mouth tassels. Each strap is mounted to a top beaded collar anchoring the pot to the fittings. They have a blue painted Sevres style mark and the uprights are stamped AH on the interior. Condition is reasonable considering their age, with the following issues: there is minor gilding loss, one metal arm/upright has been broken in three pieces and it has been crudely soldered and re-broken, some of the screws are replacements and one segment of one support column has been refastened on a different part of the upper collar on one pot. One pot and fittings is intact, the other needs some professional brazing and refitting of the fractured column. The pots themselves are in excellent condition with no crazing, chips, cracks or repairs other than some minor wear to the gilding and some dulling of the interior bottom glaze from use in the past. We've seen the supports offered online on occasion (rescued from broken examples) so it may be possible to replace the damaged one. This handsome matching pair is in as-described condition as stated above. A pair of Qing dynasty Chinese cloisonne enamel lobed plant pots or jardinieres. These late 18th/early 19th century shrub pots are similar but not identical. The 7-1/2" x 5-3/4" bowls feature blue grounds and well-executed multi-colour cloisonne designs. They are both footed and each has water drain holes in the bottoms. Each bowl has some damage, with incomplete or chipped enamel under the rims, enamel misses and chips and a large loss to the upper rim enamel on one pot. An amber daisy and button pickle cruet with stand and tongs from the 1880 1900 era. The pressed glass liner is 5" tall and the 11-1/4" tall stand has decorated feet and a floral arched handle and the matching tongs have claw feet. The lid of the cruet has a perching bird, and the stand is marked SILVERPLATED MADE IN CANADA on the underside rim. This item is in superb near mint condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs whatsoever - the plating is completely intact with no wear or loss at all. A true rarity of vintage American pressed or pattern glass. This is the 5-1/4" long and 4-5/8" wide wall pocket in the Elephant or Jumbo pattern in amber glass, issued by the King Glass Co. in 1890. Variously described as a match holder, match striker, wall pocket or vase, this item has vivid and crisp detail. It is 2-3/4" deep and is guaranteed to be antique glass. This item is in fair original condition with no chips, losses, damage or repairs other than a large internal crack below the eye and above the tusks. This crack is visible from the front and around the back and it appears to be a dividing line between the light upper glass and the deeper amber hue of the glass in the trunk. It can't be felt from the front but can be felt with a fingernail on the interior - the integrity of the piece is intact.
