Measuring 9/16" across the setting, this vintage size 7-1/4 or 7.25 abstract cluster ring features a 1.2 ct. oval genuine emerald (dark tone, bluish green, medium cut) with a 12 pt diamond and eight other diamonds (32 points total) all in VS-SI clarity and G-H colour. The emerald is visibly included, but is the most beautiful deep blue green colour. This ring weighs 3.8 grams and it has an independent gemological appraisal for $2000 (Canadian) from 2012. A Victorian 18K gentleman's chrysoprase signet seal ring, fully hallmarked for London, England 1860 1861. A matching 18k yellow gold rubies pearl and blue enamel necklace and brooch set circa 1960s by Uno-A-Erre. This set consists of the 1-1/4" across brooch with a safety catch and the 17-3/4" lavaliere type necklace with a satin finish clasp (the clasp is the same design as used for pearl necklaces). Each piece has cobalt enamelled flower petals with central genuine claw-set rubies, and there are a few random spots with a soft pink enamel around the leaves. The 1" x 1-3/8" pendant has an enamelled drop with a 5.2 mm genuine cultured pearl. Each piece is stamped with a full set of Italian marks - both the 750 (18K) mark and the company city mark (1 AR for Uno A Erre of Arezzo) are in a coffin shaped mark (used in Italy before 1968) and there is an additional mark with UNO AR, which is for Uno A Erre, a highly regarded fine quality Arezzo jewellery firm. An 18k Victorian 5 pearls row engagement ring from the 1880s 1890. This antique size 5 ring features a row of five genuine pearls which in Victorian times meant fidelity, love, loyalty and purity. These were the wedding fashion before the diamond engagement ring came into vogue and this example tests as a minimum of 18 k gold (the marks are obscured and it may be as high as 22 carat). An 18k yellow gold double swirl modern design ring. This size 6-1/2 or 6.5 crossover style ring weighs an impressive 8.58 grams. It measures 7/8 x 7/8" across the setting which has deeply grooved shell or swirl like crossover sections (or conchiglie, or shell pasta, if you are so inclined). This is a heavy, substantial ring and it is unmarked, probably because of the addition of two sizing beads which may have obscured the hallmarks. It is currently around a size 6-1/2; each bead stands 1/4" above of the band. It tests as 18k gold and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs.

An 18k yellow gold wedding ring circa 1950s. This vintage size 8 wedding band has a rounded upper shape and is 18K solid gold. This classic design ring weighs approximately 4.6 grams and it is 1/8" (or 3.4mm) wide and 1/16" (1.74mm) thick. It is marked HARWOOD and 18K. Harwood was one of the jewellery designs by W & H Jewelry Company,Inc. (Providence, Rhode Island, known 1940s-1965). A fine quality late 18th century copper plate etching by Francesco Londonio (1723-1783) of Milan, Italy. This Georgian period etching is from the Costumes Pastoris (Pastoral Customs or more commonly, Pastoral Scenes ) series. Image size (taken from the plate indentation lines) is 36 cm. x 27 cm. (14-1/4" x 11"). This series was produced for Consigliere Mellerio. This item is in the collection of the National Digital Library in Portugal, and a collection of Londonio's etchings resides at the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco (F.A.M.S.F.), amongst others, and there are some etchings from this specific series in the F.A.M.S.F. collection. The F.A.M.S.F. dates this series to the 18th century. It has an 8 in the lower right corner, indicating that this is plate 8 in the series. It is housed in a later 19th century black finished wood frame measuring 21-5/8" x 18-1/2", and it is in very good original condition with no cracks, tears, repairs, losses, damage or repairs other than some very fine overall speckled foxing and a central crease. A pair of 1950s German wood, iron & silver plated candlesticks. This cool, retro Modern pair of German teak, silverplate and bent iron candlesticks consists of a three-light and a two-light unit; each has a teak base, a silverplated mounting plate and candle cups and bobeches. The candleholders are mounted on a silverplate-trimmed painted black iron support. They are stickered "Echt Teakholz" and "Made in Germany", they measure 7/8" long and the triple light stands 5-1/8" high. A vintage framed advertising picture extolling Grand Marnier. This 18-3/4 x 12-3/4" picture is in a shadowbox style frame with a Marnier bottle on an orange on the left side and a drinking couple with orange on the other on a printed background. This poster is cased with a reverse printed glass windowwith clouds and the Marnier slogan. The space between the print and glass gives a three dimensional effect to the ad. A early to mid 19th century period 12k yellow gold watch fob pendant with a shield shaped genuine rock crystal stone. This late Victorian era red or ruby flash 7-1/4" tall lobed vase features clear panels with acid etching with hand applied blue, orange and green enamel painting as well as traces of gold trim on the top edge. An exquisite and original Victorian watercolour botanical study in its original mahogany frame c1860-70. This oval section of the painting measures 9" x 7", and it is a watercolour painting of a moss rose. It has a double mat (possibly original), and the 17" x 15" reeded edge frame has the original patterned gilded interior frame and it has the original 19thC glass. It is unsigned but of lovely quality, and the watercolour is in excellent original condition with no rips, scrapes, fading, foxing, stains, losses, damage or repairs other some slight darkening of the paper. There is an irregular look of the finish in each corner of the frame, which most likely was from someone removing some corner decorative pieces to the frame (leaving a slight roughness to the surface at each corner) and some browning to the mat, which has a pale olive green colour unlike our photographs. There is also a long sliver chip to the frame, visible to the left side of the bottom of the frame. Please note the light reflections in the closeup - these are not creases in the paper, but only a reflection of the photography. This unusual and well made hand painted late 19th century porcelain figural whimsey or decorative figure is of a girl holding a Pierrot doll over a washtub. This European 3-5/8" across and 3-3/4" high figurine has gold trim and fine handpainting; it is unsigned except for a 2219 (or 2279) and a 49 stamped on the bottom. A 19th century Staffordshire flat back china cottage 1850-60s. It is the flat back type, and measures 4 1/4" high and 3 7/16" across. The colouration is simple - yellow ochre and rust-brown. It is overall in excellent condition for its age except for a small chip on the chimney and wear to the painted decoration. A 19th century Scottish sterling silver banded agate pebble buckle brooch pin. From the early to mid-Victorian era, this large and dramatic pin measures 2-7/8 x 2-1/2". It has wonderfully striped and figured grey and white banded agate fitted stones with silver dividers and it has finely hand engraved and tooled decoration including a buckle, inner edge, decorated outer rim and an engraved pierced silver top. A 19thC Farrar Batiscan Quebec 4 gallon handled wine jug or crock, for the Marchand & Co spice, wine and liquor merchant. This 18-3/4" tall handled salt glazed stoneware jug still has the cork and it is completely hand thrown. It has a blue floral design identical with other known Farrar examples and it has a blue-wiped impressed legend stating "MARCHAND & CO MARCHANDS EPCIERES VINS ET LIQUEURS BATISCAN 4". Moses and Ebenezer Farrar were from Vermont, and they established one of the earliest stoneware potteries in Canada around 1840. Their first pottery was in St Johns Quebec, and later in Iberville Quebec. Their merchant crocks were usually not signed (by preference of the merchant, who was advertising their own goods). They closed somewhere around 1927, after the death of Ebenezer's son Georg H Farrar ((source: Early Canadian Pottery, Donald Webster, 1971). It is in very good condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some edge chips near the mouth and some original kiln burning to the blue design. A 19thC framed watercolour picture of a child 1860-80. This late Victorian period unsigned framed water color on paper is a piece of early memorial folk art and it was possibly made by a family member as a reminder of a deceased child, with typical muted colours and austere pose. This Victorian picture is a lovingly made piece, most likely a memorial painting, with a hand-cut deep red velvet mat, a gilt paper mount from a photo-album page and a black and gilt frame with applied brass Coptic crosses in each corner. The image alone measures 5-1/2" x 4" (sight size), the frame is 14" x 12", and it has a unique back closure - a cut wood ruler screwed to the frame with brass screws (later addition, and removable). A 7-1/2" German or Austrian porcelain hand painted figurine of a bugler. This mid to late 19th century figure features fine hand painting with gold, orange, blue, tan and realistic flesh colours; it is in a style similar to Heubach figures, but many European factories of this period were producing such figures, and it has a shiny rather than matte glaze. A 19th c. hand painted toleware large tray. This decorative, vintage and stunning handpainted and signed large toleware display or serving tray dates to around 1860. This 24-3/8 x 19-3/4" painted metal tray features a large central basket of colourful and varied flowers; it has a floreate stepped edge and the G. J. Rudolph artist's signature. We have been unable to get any information on this artist, however the painting is superb. A vintage Victorian period porcelain pink lustre 5 piece condiment or cruet set depicting a playing pair of cherubs or children with the legend "A present from Rathdowney" (a town located in County Laois, Ireland). This 5-3/8" across set is 5-1/4" deep and stands 4-1/2" high with the lids and shaker insert. It includes the base with molded leaf decoration, gold trim and the original spoon for the lidded mustard pot; the shaker inserts into one of the cups. The lustre is a Sunderland pink, popular in the mid to late 19th century, and this set has an incised 776 on the bottom and was most likely made originally in Austria or Germany, and sold in Rathdowney. This set is in excellent original condition with no cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than a touch of gold wear and a small 1/8" interior shallow rim chip on the mustard bowl and a small loss to the transfer decoration. An attractive 19thC American (or Canadian) pattern or pressed glass stoppered decanter with what appears to be an double leaf motif (one over the other) not dissimilar to a maple leaf. This 9-1/2" tall (with stopper) blown-mould decanter retains its original stopper; the detail and relief are sharp and well defined, and this unusual piece, whose maker and pattern unknown to us, is in excellent original condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some chips to the bottom of the stopper (see image). A 19th century Rococo revival silver plated ornate wine bottle stand/carrier c1875-80. This two bottle stand has a Gothic railing surrounding the bottle section, and a handle adorned by the three Graces with birds on the handle. The base has naturalistic slightly rococo flowers and leaves. It measures just over 12 inches in height, and the base measures 12" x 5-1/8". The handle can be unbolted from the base for easier polishing. There is a spot near the base at the bottom of the handle which appears to have been re-soldered professionally at some point in the past, and one spike is missing from the Gothic railing (and a few others are slightly bent). It has been lightly polished and much of the original plating is intact (you can finish polishing it if you wish). 2 pc. Gaudy Welsh Pearl White ironstone items 1820-50. This pair of early to mid-19th century Gaudy Welsh tableware pieces includes the 5-1/2" milk jug and the 7-3/4" across ten-sided plate. Both have floral hand painted designs; they have both copper and pink lustre with green leaves and flow blue decoration. They both have a painted 316 pattern number and the plate has an impressed PEARL WHITE mark. These items are in excellent condition with no chips, crazing, losses, damage or repairs except for some wear to the lustre on the plate's edge and a small star crack on the pitcher's base which doesn't go through to the interior.
