A Victorian gold filled photo locket on a fancy rolled gold plate chain necklace from the 1870s 1880s. This necklace is unusual in that it is gold filled and not the typical sterling silver and it features yellow gold plate and a strip of fancy bordered rose gold plate setting off the design. It has a subtle matte finish and the rose gold is glossy and it opens up to show two (very faded) baby photos which both have annotations with names and the date 1900 as well as the paper lining, original glass windows and both bezels. The locket measures 2-1/4 x 1" (including bale) and it comes on a fancy 19" long and 5/16" wide rolled gold plated chain which has a springring clasp and a safety chain. The back of the locket is undecorated and this beauty is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a small shallow dent on the back of the locket. An Edwardian 14k yellow gold black onyx and cultured pearl ring. This size 4-1/2 ring features a bevel-set round black onyx insert with a central post-mounted 4.5 mm. cultured pearl with a nice pink-tinged luster. The high mounted setting is 5/16" across, the ring weighs 2.1 grams and it has had the pearl replaced. A 14k white gold signet ring probably from the 1950s. This (slightly over) size 8-1/2 ring has an AL script monogram and it weighs 3.3 grams. It is unmarked and it may have been rehooped, losing the hallmark. It tests as 14k gold, the initial area is 3/8 x 1/4" and it is in excellent condition with dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a light patina from use.

A motorcycle & sidecar tintype circa 1905 with a historic view. This scarce, very early photograph is on a late tintype (photo on treated metal blank) and this 2-3/8 x 1-5/8" (view area) image consists of a young motorcycle rider astride the bike with a rather concerned-looking grandma in the sidecar. Three other ladies stand behind her, and there is an Edmonson's Red Seal Toffee pail in the middle of the road (road hazards were a little different in those days...). It comes papered into its original cardboard mount, and this image has "GRAMMA HEMO (?), BILL DORIS LEAVING FOR CANADA" in pencil on the back. It is in very good original condition with no cracks, crazing, scrapes, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than some light fogging or silvering on the right side of the image. A hand painted porcelain lamp - Noritake? This fine quality porcelain lamp has gilt metal mounts and it is in the Prattware style. It is most likely by Noritake - we were unable to disassemble it for examination to say definitely. It has 3 colour Greek mythology-style portrait medallions and a Greek key band at the neck all on a deep and vibrant orange ground; it measures 12-1/2" from the base to the top of the decorative upper metal collar (excluding the 15-1/4" shaft, socket, harp and finial). This 19th century 12" serving tray features a scalloped edge with modified shell decorations; the engraving has shells, boughs, florals and fruits as well as a complex monogram in the center. A Gorham silver plated open chafing dish on stand from the 1900 era. This top quality late Victorian era warming dish measures 9-5/8" across and it sits on the ornately designed heavy quality footed stand, which has a large fuel well with a turned handle. It has two mechanical burners - the long thumbwheels open the lids and raise and lower the wicks in the same motion, snuffing the flames. The burners are mounted in a fitted top which sits on the fuel well; they are stamped PAT'D AUG 29.1899. The stand is marked with the GMCo EP anchor mark for Gorham and it has a pattern number 0560, which also appears on the dish. A pair of so-called Whimsey glass vases c1900. Glass whimseys, or end-of-day glass, were made at the end of the day's glass production by glassmakers using leftover glass; these items were usually taken home and given as gifts. Many forms were produced, including glass canes, figurines and artistic objects. This pair is made of amber and citrene coloured glass with white highlights and ribbon decoration. They are unsigned and the amber vase has a hook so it can be hung on a wall; the other sits on a table. The hanging vase measures 6-7/8" from top to bottom and the yellowish table vase is 4-1/2" from the edge of the trumpet to the edge of the stem. A sterling silver and guilloche pink enamel 2 piece nail buffer from the 1920s. This fine quality fully hallmarked Art Deco period sterling silver nail buffer has beautiful rose pink guilloche enamel decoration. It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1925-6, this buffer measures 6" x 1-5/8" and it stands 2-3/8" high. The top features a blue plain enamel interior and the enamel covers the top and the bottom's sides. It has the maker's mark for Charles S. An Art Deco cube shape sterling silver mustard pot and matching salt cellar, both with cobalt glass liners. They are both hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1924, and they have the maker's mark for A.& J. Zimmerman Limited (1902-). The mustard pot stands 2-1/8" high to the top of the finial and the body of each piece is 1-1/2" across. A sterling silver modern design Consul (Switzerland) ladies wrist watch circa 1970. The brushed face has a gradient colour, from chocolate to golden amber. The hands are silver, and the body of the watch is an abstract modernist plain solid cuff style. The back of the cuff has a clever and unusual gate type of closure to allow it to be easily taken on and off, unlike a cuff bracelet. The clasp works well and there is a safety chain and this watch weighs 48.0 grams. The face is marked Consul and Swiss Made, and it is a 17 jewel manual wind works. The back has an RW mark, as well as 925 sterling mark, a German crescent moon and crown, a floral oval hallmark and the (model?) numbers 5391 and 22. It measures 1 11/16" at the widest but tapers to a width of 5/8" at the narrowest, and the widest interior measurement is 2 3/8" across. It is currently working and keeping time and it appears to be in good working order, but we cannot offer a guarantee as we have no idea when it was last cleaned. An Art Deco 9K yellow gold pink crystal graduated round bead glass necklace from the 1915-25 period. This 17" long vintage beauty features graduated pink crystal round faceted beads ranging from 3/16" to 5/16" wide. It has a springring clasp and it is a classic and elegant Art Deco design, great for a 1920s flapper wedding or party. This necklace also has lattice style openwork gold links between the crystals. It is unusual to find these necklaces in gold (the vast majority were gold plated) and it weighs 5.7 grams.
