A Fa Dahlia Dutch 835 solid silver pastry pie lifter or cake server dated 1920. This ornate European silver 8-1/2" dessert server features a high relief village scene, flowers and a mythological mask on the pierced work blade and the stem is fancy as well. This fine dining or tea table serving piece is topped with a finely detailed sailing ship. It has various Dutch hallmarks including the .835 silver mark, the K date mark (for 1920) and the maker's mark for Fa. Dahlia. It is nicely cast and finished and it weighs 77.3 grams. An Art Deco Lightolier luster Czech glass shade ceiling lamp from the 1920s. This scarce beauty has a paneled Czechoslovakian pale yellow lustre glass shade with floral screened designs in blue, yellow and orange. The shade is stamped LIGHTOLIER and it measures 8-1/8" across the open bottom and 9-1/4" in total across. The top opening is 6-3/4" and this lamp retains its original cream-painted metal mount with three metal spokes with finger screws. The socket assembly is gilded and this lamp has the original chain, mounting nut and central threaded core; it has been recently rewired and it works and shows beautifully. Lightolier was the brand name for lamps made by Bernhard Blitzer Gas and Appliance Co. of Brooklyn, New York who started out in the 1800s before changing to Lightolier early in the century. This classy addition to your home decor is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a few very small shallow flakes to the unfinished edge of the shade's inside top rim from mounting to the bracket. An Art Deco cube shape sterling silver mustard pot and matching salt cellar, both with cobalt glass liners. They are both hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1924, and they have the maker's mark for A.& J. Zimmerman Limited (1902-). The mustard pot stands 2-1/8" high to the top of the finial and the body of each piece is 1-1/2" across. The silver weighs 50.5 grams (mustard) and 28.4 grams (salt) and both pieces are in excellent condition with no monograms, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A German porcelain chicken figural schnapps or liquor decanter with glasses or cups and tray from the 1920s. This set is in orange, green and yellow luster and the cork-lined stopper shaped like feathers lifts off to reveal a filling hole. It is fully hand painted, the chicken is 8-1/2" long, the two-handled tray is 9-5/8" long and the schnapps shot glasses stand 1-5/8" high and fit on indented circles on the tray. The chicken has an impressed 7791 and a few other stamped numbers, some glasses have impressed numbers and a few are incised GERMANY. A Revernay French art studio pottery vase probably from the 1920s. Made by Atelier Revernay of France (known 1896-1930s), this attractive 8 1/4" tall vase has molded drip highlights and a mottled blue and brown glaze. The blue has deep greenish under-tones. It is hand incised 23 and REVERNAY on the bottom of the vase and it has a MADE IN FRANCE over-glaze mark also. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, damage or repairs however it does have a few burst glaze bubbles around the top edge and one lower down,something that occasionally happened with expanding oxygen reacting with the heat inthe kiln. A genuine, vintage hand embroidered and beaded Pashtun tablecloth or tray cover cloth from the early part of the 20th century. These decorative embroidered and beaded textiles were made to show off the skills of young women in contemplation of marriage and this was brought back from Afghanistan in the 1960s. It is typically brilliantly coloured and it measures 33" x 27" (that measurement includes the beaded strands, which are approximately 1/1/2" in length). It is in excellent vintage condition with no major losses, holes, insect damage, fading, tears, damage or repairs. There are a couple of loose threads on the fringe and a touch of soiling but the cotton, silk, wool and silver threaded edging (which used to be known as cloth of silver, I believe) remain in remarkably fine condition. An English sterling silver coffee spoons set in the original fitted case or box dated 1927. This fine set includes six 4-3/8" coffee spoons in a velvet and silk lined fitted 6-5/8 x 5-3/4" box with gold stamping and brass fittings. The spoons are hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1927 and they have the maker's mark for Arthur Price & Co. (reg. 1926). Each spoon weighs 12.1 grams and the spoons appear unused however the box shows a bit of edge wear and rubbing which can be touched up with polish if desired. This bowl has the pattern number 2158 and the year cipher for 1920 and it depicts leaping rabbits around the border. A Heisey Octagon 1229 black glass footed fruit bowl with coralene butterflies from the 1920s. This elegant glass footed bowl features lush gold trim and hand painted gold decoration along with fine blue, pink and white coralene butterflies and lily of the valley hand painted decoration. This fruit bowl or table centerpiece bowl measures 11 x 9" (including the handles) and it is an unmarked Heisey Octagon 1229 blank. We haven't seen another example of this decoration or of this black colour and it is possible that it was a special order or line made exclusively for a major retailer at the time (we have found no other examples of the blank in black glass). This rarity is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs other than a bit of minor wear on the heavily gold painted handles and a small drip inside the bowl from a liquid that left a 1/4" spot of fogging on the surface of the glass. An English hand painted Gaudy Welsh tea set by Allerton's, consisting of the 6" high teapot (including finial), the 5" tall large covered sugar bowl, the 4-3/4" tall milk or cream jug, four 2-1/2" tall cups and four 5-7/8" fitted saucers. Including the lids there are 13 pieces and each is handpainted with cobalt, orange, green and copper lustre. the shape and decoration are undoubtedly those of Allertons however the saucers are marked with what appear to be impressed date stamps (from 1928-29). The sugar and teapot have a 30 mark - it was illegal to sell unmarked china after 1891 so this set would appear to predate that year due to the lack of markings. Or not. This set is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs except crazing to the creamer, sugar, one saucer and one cup. An authentic 1920s slag glass scenic chandelier ceiling lamp. This hexagonal 16" across and 12" deep beauty features caramel swirl slag glass panels, an upper gallery of blue, purple and caramel slag panels and a lower skirt of blue, purple and deep yellow panels resembling cloudy sky under cutout scenic gold patinated and lacquered brass framework structure of a house with trees. It is unsigned, it has the original gilded brass canopy and it has been resocketed and rewired. We've shown it lit with a 25 watt candle bulb but a higher wattage will look quite impressive. A Royal Doulton Desert Scenes D3192 large jug. This scarce 4-7/8" high and 8" across the handle and lip English pottery large jug in the Desert Scenes D3192 pattern was issued by Royal Doulton from 1909-26. This jug features colourful handpainted scenes of Arabian desert dwellers, their camels, and some palm trees. It is marked with the Doulton backstamp and the number 8, and this jug is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some overall crazing and some slight browning on the interior only.
