A lovely mid-Victorian piece of hair jewellery in 10k yellow gold c1860-80. This 1-3/4" x 1-3/8" pendant features a fine hand engraved (unmarked but tested) gold surround with a central concave transluscent moonstone agate, on which is mounted a gold-bordered hair insert. The insert and surround are bolted to the agate with hand-cut bolts, and it retains the original finely braided black hair, bezel and glass window. This item has been converted to a pendant, with a loop attached through a small drilled hole; the hinge for the pin remains and it could easily be converted back to a brooch with the addition of a pin and catch. A Victorian 14k gold synthetic sapphire seed pearls leaf pin brooch from 1880-1890. This attractive2-1/8 x 5/8" brooch is of hollow construction and it has a finely tooled pinioned leaf with seed pearls and a claw-set synthetic sapphire. Fine gem stones like emeralds or sapphires were very expensive in the 19th and early 20th century, so synthetic gems were often used even in gold jewelry. The pearls are natural with the expected surface irregularities and this pin is unmarked but tests as 14k gold. It has the repositioned original c-clasp (the pin closure itself is gold filled) and the leaf rotates around it's original pinion. A pair of Victorian French jet 9k gold and pearl earrings with silver screwback mounts. These 3/4 x 7/16" earrings are in the shape of a shield and the French jet (black glass) is beveled on the edges. They have 10k yellow gold star shaped inserts with central seed pearls; they have been rebacked with screwbacks in sterling silver (stamped STERLING) at a later date (but not recently). A Victorian 14k diamond brooch circa 1890. This antique 1" across whirling circle pin has a free and graceful open filigree design. This round yellow gold pin shows the transition from stylized Victorian to the more flowing Art Nouveau influence. It measures 1 inch across, and in the centre is a claw set clear white genuine European antique cut diamond, measuring 3.5 mm. across (approximately 20 pt. by gauge) - it is is VS2 diamond of I-J colour. It has the original gate-latch safety clasp, where it is stamped 14 K. It is in very good condition, with all of the claw work in excellent condition, and the diamond in excellent condition also, but please note there appears to be an old professional repair visible only on the back of the brooch. It comes with an old appraisal.

A Victorian ornate silver and gold plated watch chain circa 1870s. This antique ornate 13-5/8" watchchain is 7/16" wide and it consists of six nickel plated base metal oblong links with fine engraving. Each link is attached by thick loops. Every alternating link has gold plated engraved inserts held with three thin metal bands. It has a swivel and it is unsigned and unmarked. A 19th century Scottish sterling silver banded agate pebble buckle brooch pin. From the early to mid-Victorian era, this large and dramatic pin measures 2-7/8 x 2-1/2". It has wonderfully striped and figured grey and white banded agate fitted stones with silver dividers and it has finely hand engraved and tooled decoration including a buckle, inner edge, decorated outer rim and an engraved pierced silver top. A superb sterling silver repousse locket and engraved chain dated 1884. A fine example of sumptious Victorian sterling silver craftsmanship! This 2-1/4 x 1-5/8" sterling silver photo locket has a complex design and inset rose and green gold highlights on the central flower. It has a full set of Birmingham, England silver hallmarks on the undecorated side corresponding to the year 1884, and it has an I.H maker's mark. This pendant includes the ornately hand engraved 18-1/4 x 5/8" flat-link chain necklace, which has a large springring catch. This necklace weighs 53.4 grams, and it is in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses or damage except for some fine denting on the plain back, tool marks from the flattening of some dents and some identifying symbols on the interior. A large 10K rotating hair brooch with photo 1860-70. This opulent (typically unmarked but tested) 10k yellow gold rotating or turning hair brooch has a photo on the other side. This mid-Victorian 2-5/8 x 2-3/8" pin features a finely plaited brown and blonde hair display on one side and a hand-tinted albumin photograph of a bearded and bald gentleman on the other. Each side is under glass and the center display rotates freely on its perpendicular pivot. It has its original c-clasp and attached loop for wear as a pendant, and it weighs 27.6 grams. This pin features a carved pink coral hand with black enamel bands on its sleeve, holding a wreath of flowers and leaves. A Victorian jet bracelet with carving circa 1870-80. This genuine (tested) jet carved bracelet is in the Aesthetic style. It has elastic cord threading (re-strung)and it has a staggered orientation of the band's panels (possibly strung differently originally). The 1" across top panel and two flanking panels both have decorative carving, the rest are plain polished. This item is in fair vintage condition with the following issues: chipping to the thread mounting holes on the back of the center panel, some small edge chips to the bottom corners of the side panels, some tiny edge flakes and chips on the front edges of the side panels and one one other panel and a cracked side panel (the crack is tight and is held together by the elastic, and it can be glued if you wish).
