An Edwardian platinum and green garnet doublet diamonds ring circa 1910. This size 6-1/2 ring features a central green garnet doublet (a slice of gemstone laid on a clear or coloured substrate to mimic a true solid gemstone) flanked by genuine diamonds in a lovely platinum setting. This ring comes with a recent professional independent gemological appraisal in the amount of $1100CAN and the stones consist of the green garnet and glass doublet along with eight single cut diamonds of VS-1/VS2 clarity and G/H colour totalling 4 points (five of the diamonds are chipped). This ring weighs 2.4 grams and it is stamped 900PLAT10IRD. for 900 parts platinum, 10 parts iridium. It is in the described condition with no other cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than some expected abrasions and wear to the doublet. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. An Art Deco platinum diamond solitaire ring circa 1920s 1930. This elegant diamond is a European brilliant cut, 0.90 carat, VVS-2 clarity, L-M colour. The ring is a size 7-1/2. It is stamped 10% IRID. PLAT. to indicate that 10 per cent of the metal is iridium. This is a great engagement ring choice for those who like clean classic design, and it goes well with any bridal style. It has larger claws in each corner to give the ring a square appearance, and there are smaller claws on the corners as well - this ring has a very secure setting.
