An impressive Regency period 15k gold long necklace with ornate slide c1830-40. This superb example measures 62" long, it has a large well-made slide with black enamel, and it is constructed of double pulley-style interlinked gold loops. The 1" across and 1/4" thick slide has an engraved L. Gordon inscription on one side; it is unmarked and unsigned but tests as 15k gold. The slide has holes where a scarab or possibly a cameo was mounted (and another piece of your choice could be mounted on it), and it weighs an impressive 59.0 grams (almost 2 ounces!). A Victorian period 15k yellow gold, enamel & natural pearl large Victorian mourning pin c1860 with an insert with hair. This (unmarked but tested and guaranteed) 15K yellow gold brooch consists of a raised fancy scrollwork front with black enamel, a circle of high quality and lustre natural pearls surrounding a central crystal enclosed compartment with a swirl of medium-brown hair, and a polished mother of pearl backing under the nicely arranged lock of hair. It measures 2-1/2" x 2", it closes with a c-clasp with its original extended pin, and it has a loop for hanging as a pendant. The unusual mother of pearl backing has wonderful pink and green fire, and this pin weighs a substantial 37.4 grams. It is in very good original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, corrosion, repairs or damage other than that one end is a bit dented upwards, and there is a small scrape to the enamel. This set consists of the 1-1/4" across brooch with a safety catch and the 17-3/4" lavaliere type necklace with a satin finish clasp (the clasp is the same design as used for pearl necklaces). Each piece has cobalt enamelled flower petals with central genuine claw-set rubies, and there are a few random spots with a soft pink enamel around the leaves. The 1" x 1-3/8" pendant has an enamelled drop with a 5.2 mm genuine cultured pearl. Each piece is stamped with a full set of Italian marks - both the 750 (18K) mark and the company city mark (1 AR for Uno A Erre of Arezzo) are in a coffin shaped mark (used in Italy before 1968) and there is an additional mark with UNO AR, which is for Uno A Erre, a highly regarded fine quality Arezzo jewellery firm. The pin weighs 5.0 grams and the necklace 9.3 grams. A Birks 14K gold charm bracelet with 7 different 14k or 18K figural charms circa 1930s and possibly later. The bracelet itself is 7-1/2" long and the loops are 1/4" at widest. The charms are:
- an 18k gold ladies figure skate with a white painted enamel except for the skate inner flap, which is red. About 1/5 of the enamel is worn, otherwise quite intact. 3/4" x 5/8".
- a moveable 18k Italian Commedia dell'Arte sad clown figure. He is not always shown with the pointed cap, and the face is a bird mask. Modern versions of this figure rarely show that cap, now it is usually a rounded one. His arms and legs move freely. The large round raised dots are meant to represent his oversized pompoms. 1-3/8" tall.
- a 14k Spanish bullfighter/toreador with cape and bull. 7/8" tall.
- an 18k Venetian gondola boat with gondolier figure. 1-1/8" length.
an 18k donkey or pack animal with harness and saddle. 3/4" x 1/2" tall
- a 14k horn - it is either an older bugle horn or a traditional hunting horn. 3/4" x 1/2". (585 mark).
- an 18k bucket with handle containing a champagne bottle (European hallmarks, possibly French). 3/4" tall.
The bracelet is stamped BIRKS and 14Kt on one side. The charms are all stamped on the charms or on the attached loops. The charm measurements do not include the bale loops as part of the height measurement. The bale loops are all soldered except for the figure skate. The bracelet weight is 21.1 grams.
