A 10K golden sapphire ring from the 1940s 1950 period. This size 4-1/2 or 4.5 yellow gold ring features a tested golden rectangle cut cut sapphire stone of approximately 3.75 carats (estimated from gauge measurement). The gem color is a golden orange or gold orange colour. It weighs 2.7 grams, and it is stamped 10K with slightly obscured maker's marks and the Canadian manufacture mark. This stylish ring measures 3/8 x 5/16" (10mm x 8mm x 4.5mm). It is in excellent condition with no break, corrosion, losses, damage or known repairs. The stone tests as a sapphire. An 18k birks bow brooch with diamonds from the 1950s. This retro brooch with three claw-set round brilliant cut genuine diamonds circa 1950s is well-made; it measures 2-1/8" x 1-1/4" pin is stamped 18 K and BIRKS. It has a safety catch, and it weighs 9.9 grams. The diamonds measure approximately 6 points in total - they are sparkling clear and white (VS, E-F colour). A Birks 14k man's 3 diamonds row ring in yellow and white gold circa 1950s. The size is approximately size 14, or may be a little larger, as our ring mandrel (ring sizer bar) doesn't go any higher. This vintage gentleman's diamond band is stamped BIRKS (indistinct), it tests as 14k gold and it has an independent gemologist appraisal for $1000 CAD from 2008. The additional marks may have been lost a sizing, as sometimes happens. The diamonds include: one brilliant cut diamond .22 pt diamond of I-1 clarity and F-G colour, two single cut diamonds of SI-2 tand I-1 clarity, I-J colour 0.05 pt total. The ring weighs 4.8 grams. Please note that the large diamond has a very tiny chip, as noted in appraisal, so this factor is included in the independent evaluation. A large Art Deco silver plated bracelet circa 1930. This retro Industrial design conversation piece consists of six 1-1/4" wide and 2-1/4" long slightly conical panels all together. The panels have semi-circular arches standing 1/4" above the surface of the links. Amazingly this fine piece of work is unsigned, it has a safety chain with a snap-over clasp. At the narrowest end it measures 2-1/4" across the interior, and this bracelet is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A striking vintage Mexican sterling pendant set with a mixture of inlaid lapis and malachite, with a large cabochon cut tiger eye gem in the centre c1950-60. Two of the dangling pendants are also inlaid with lapis and malachite, and the centre dangle is solid silver. The pendant alone measures 3-3/4" x 2-1/8", and weighs 26.2 grams. It is stamped STERLING 925 with the eagle mark with a 2 in the centre, and the initials MR. There was a silversmith named Melecio Rodriguez who worked at the Rancho Alegre and for Margot de Taxco, but I can't verify if this is his work or not. It comes with a 18-1/2" sterling heavy link chain (weighs 16.7 grams, not Mexican manufacture). It is in very good condition, but please note than there is 1/8" piece missing from the second inlaid drop of the pendant. Otherwise it is in lovely condition, no breaks, wear, repairs or damage.
