These 2-1/8" long Edwardian earrings feature fine silver filigree work and natural turquoise cabochon stones and large robin's egg blue teardrop shaped drops. The bottom turquoise drop is substantial, so they make quite a statement. These large drop antique earrings have been converted from the original screw back to pierced mounts. The filigree work is fine and Asian in design. They are unmarked but test as high grade silver. A sterling bird Southwest poison ring with turquoise eyes from the 1930s. This unusual and vividly depicted ring is in the form of a bird or owl's head; it has two turquoise cabochon eyes, one green and one blue. It measures 5/8 x 1/2", it is hand made and engraved and it has cutout shoulders. The top opens to reveal a poison compartment (in this case it has an instant relative's photo which can be removed). An early Victorian 18k Socrates carnelian intaglio signet ring. This antique size 7-3/4 or 7.75 rose gold mid-19th century ring is completely hand made. It and it features a deeply carved carnelian intaglio portrait of Socrates. It is simply executed but stylish with subtle design flourishes. It measures 7/8 x 5/8" across the bezel-set intaglio gem stone. It has a full set of stretched and now obscured hallmarks - it tests as 18K. Although the stone is a substantial size, this ring in the 18thC and 19thC worn on a gentleman's pinkie finger as a pinkie ring. In order to save gold some jewellers would stretch the shank to resize the ring rather than solder another section of gold to effect the sizing and that appears to be the case here. It weighs 8.4 grams and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs, it does show wear and patination commensurate with age.

Plique-a-jour (French: "Light of Day") refers to the labour-intensive technique of repeatedly firing enamel in metal-bordered cells resembling cloisonne, but allowing light through, resulting in unbacked translucent panels. This 9-1/4" (maximum) chain shrinks to 6-1/8" when the two engraved slides are separated (which contracts the chain forming a double chain between them, shown partly drawn in our second image). It has a t-bar and a swivel as well as two textured balls which act as stops for the slides. It is stamped W.LH.&Co. on the swivel and it is a neat bit of Victorian ingenuity. A genuine 3 strand angel coral necklace with a carved coral drop from the 1980s. This wonderful and scarce necklace features three strands of genuine white and orange/pink angel hair coral 5.3 mm. beads and three baroque pearl and two gold bead spacers per strand. We haven't tested the gold but the coral tests as genuine and it is undyed and original in colour. The shortest strand is 28" and the hand carved floral drop measures 1-3/8 x 3/4". The workmanship is very fine and the drop's tiny linking coral beads are as small as 1.7 mm. An Art Deco floral molded glass and enamel chrome clamper cuff bracelet from 1934. This beauty features a moulded white milk glass floral insert surrounded by pale pink enamel daisy flowers on a wide chrome plated spring-mounted clamper bracelet. It measures 1-3/8 x 1-5/16" across the central panel and it measures 2-1/4 x 1-5/8" across the interior. Although signed only with a patent number (PAT. 1971094, corresponding to 1934) it is finely done with excellent detail and workmanship. A true Deco prize. This fine late Victorian 1-1/4" across locket features wonderful Nouveau tendrils and poppies along with the original white paste rhinestones. The back side is plain and it has never been monogrammed or inscribed and the interior is stamped F&B (for Foster & Bailey, Providence, Rhode Island 1898-1951). An Edwardian Art Deco sterling silver barrel step cut crystal necklace from around 1920. This beauty features a fine open wire link 16" chain with a hook and eye clasp. The 1-1/4 x 5/8" unmarked pendant features a step-cut rounded barrel style crystal stone claw-set on a mount with an array of white rhinestones. The chain is stamped STER and it weighs 6.2 grams. It is in the transitional style when Edwardian design was becoming Art Deco around 1920, and this necklace is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the splitting and twisting together of one wire link anchoring the pendant to the chain (it was probably free-swining on the chain originally).
