A strand of genuine cultured pearls circa 1960s with a marked 14K yellow gold clasp and 14k ball spacers. This vintage 38-3/4" necklace has 128 cultured pearls ranging from 7 to 5.5 mm in size. the gold beads consist of one 6.5 mm, two at 4.5 mm and two at 4 mm. The pearls between the gold balls have two smaller pearls flanking three of the 7 mm. pearls, while the pearls leading to the clasp are strung with a length of 5.5 mm pearls leading to a length of 7 mm. pearls. It's a well thought out design and this strand necklace could easily be worn doubled (see image). A 10k yellow gold synthetic Alexandrite statement ring from the 1950s-60s. This ring features a claw-set oval faceted 12 carat (calculated) synthetic alexandrite with lush purple and intense blue colour. These simulated alexandrites are usually corundum laced with vanadium to produce the color change under different types of lighting, or a treated colourless chrysoberyl. This created gemstone has been around for almost 100 years, and the stones usually test as corundums or sapphires on a gem tester (natural genuine alexandrites of this colour are expensive and uncommon, and most of what you will see for sale is the paler or simulated version). A Norway sterling silver and blue enamel brooch circa 1960s by Einar Modahl of Oslo. This attractive vintage modern 2-1/8" x 1-5/8" pin is a lovely royal hue. This Norwegian abstract double leaf is marked 925 S with the Einar Modahl maker's mark and an N in a square and STERLING NORWAY. The light colour or mauvish spots are artifacts of the photography and light reflections, the enamel is smooth and even with no damage. This attractive and flashy size 5-1/2 ring is in 18k white gold, and the genuine modern brilliant cut diamonds include a 19 point SI-2 J-K center stone with 40 single cut diamonds (70 points total, VS-2 to I-1, G-H-I). It weighs 7.8 grams, it is stamped 18K with an obscured maker's mark, and it has a fairly recent conservative independent gemological appraisal in the amount of $4500 Canadian. A 10k rose gold pair of jade dangle wirework lever back earrings from the 1950s. These retro 1-1/8 x 1/2" earrings feature claw-set jade cabochons, they weigh 1.5 grams and they are stamped 10Kt on the ear wires. A 10k purple sapphire ring with white sapphires from the 1950s. This size 7 ring features a lovely and very flashy cushion cut purple sapphire (tests as sapphire on our gem tester) flanked by two small white sapphires in a 10k yellow gold setting. It measures 3/8 x 5/16" across the setting, it weighs 2.4 grams and it is marked 10K with an A+A maker's mark. The stone calculates to 2.1 carats in size and this ring is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs.
