A rare early Wedgwood tri-colour miniature jasper cameo pin circa 1790 1800. This English Georgian period 2-1/4" x 1-1/4" tri-color jasperware brooch consists of a Wedgwood miniature plaque mounted in a (later) sterling silver setting. The jasper ware cameo dates to approximately 1780-1800, and this beautiful miniature has a very light blue, white and royal blue edge classical scene of a sacrifice to the gods of classic mythology. This exact cameo appears in the top of a patch box in the 1953 Wedgwood book by Wolf Mankowitz, dated to circa 1785 (plate 97). These miniature Wedgwood jaspers were often mounted in the cut steel jewellery popular in the Georgian period, or were sometimes set into the top of boxes, but were also sold unmounted. The mounting for this pin is sterling silver, with a modern period wheel catch, so it would have been set in the sterling setting at a later date. It is impressed WEDGWOOD with a small cross mark, a deep and not perfectly evenly lettered mark as should be expected in a piece of this age. The pin is stamped STERLING and it has a safety catch. A genuine George III English Spade Guinea coin pendant dated 1791 and made of 22K gold. This is a genuine antique Georgian period gold coin from the UK - it was only in production from 1787-99. It measures 1" across and it has been soldered to a 14k or 15k mount with an attached loop for wear as a pendant or as a watch fob. This coin shows considerable wear (high carat gold was very soft and wore easily) however the subject matter and date is clearly visible. This pendant weighs 8.4 grams (in total) and it has no monograms, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the later mount and the expected wear to the coin. A Georgian 14k glass emerald and diamonds ring circa 1780-1800. This antique yellow gold (unmarked but tested and guaranteed) ring features a 3/8" across top which has claw set early silver coloured genuine rose cut diamonds surrounding an emerald coloured glass stone. Emeralds then were a scarce and difficult stone to acquire, so the use of a cut glass "gem" with diamonds was not unusual. An early Empire 15k superbly carved cameo pin circa 1820. This hand carved shell portrait cameo measures 2 x 1-3/4" and it features lovely tooling with a pierced gallery, and a twist border with applied textured flowers and leaves. The cameo itself is one of the most attractively carved we have seen- simply stunning in detail and she is wearing an Empire headdress. This brooch has the original c-clasp and a loop for wear as a pendant. A later Georgian period 15k yellow gold remembrance or mourning ring with genuine pearls circa 1820 - 1830. This beautiful antique size 6 ring is typically unmarked and it tests as 15k, and it most likely of United Kingdom origin. It has a bevelled glass window for hair (no hair present) and the shoulders are thickly sculpted with a multi-floral pattern sometimes seen on jewellery or decor of this period. A Regency period rolled gold plate mourning locket with enamel c1835. This 1-5/16" locket features an engine turned design on each side, a watch-style bale for hanging from a chain, pin or chatelaine, and it has a removable central compartment for hair or a memento. The front is hinged and swings out to reveal the contents, which are under bevelled glass (a curl of brown hair and woven black fabric). It has a hand-engraved dedication saying: "IN MEMORY OF Margaret Maclachlin Jane Magregor Died 1839. Dugalt Maclachlin Died 21st April 1849." This fine mid-Victorian 2-3/4 x 7/8" pin features a fine carved genuine sardonyx male warrior portrait mounted on an Etruscan style pin with ornate wirework. A lovely mid-Victorian piece of hair jewellery in 10k yellow gold c1860-80. This 1-3/4" x 1-3/8" pendant features a fine hand engraved (unmarked but tested) gold surround with a central concave transluscent moonstone agate, on which is mounted a gold-bordered hair insert. The insert and surround are bolted to the agate with hand-cut bolts, and it retains the original finely braided black hair, bezel and glass window. This item has been converted to a pendant, with a loop attached through a small drilled hole; the hinge for the pin remains and it could easily be converted back to a brooch with the addition of a pin and catch. A Victorian 14k gold synthetic sapphire seed pearls leaf pin brooch from 1880-1890. This attractive2-1/8 x 5/8" brooch is of hollow construction and it has a finely tooled pinioned leaf with seed pearls and a claw-set synthetic sapphire. Fine gem stones like emeralds or sapphires were very expensive in the 19th and early 20th century, so synthetic gems were often used even in gold jewelry. The pearls are natural with the expected surface irregularities and this pin is unmarked but tests as 14k gold. A Victorian jet bracelet with carving circa 1870-80. This genuine (tested) jet carved bracelet is in the Aesthetic style. It has elastic cord threading (re-strung)and it has a staggered orientation of the band's panels (possibly strung differently originally). The 1" across top panel and two flanking panels both have decorative carving, the rest are plain polished. This item is in fair vintage condition with the following issues: chipping to the thread mounting holes on the back of the center panel, some small edge chips to the bottom corners of the side panels, some tiny edge flakes and chips on the front edges of the side panels and one one other panel and a cracked side panel (the crack is tight and is held together by the elastic, and it can be glued if you wish).
