This exuberantly decorated serving plate has blue trim and wild red roses, yellow and brown tulips and other flowers. It has two eared handles and this Italian ceramic or pottery decorative item is signed FNA 127 and it is impressed ITALY. An Italy modernist cubist teal glass large display bottle from the 1970s. This 12" tall and 7-1/4" wide bottle retains its original cube stopper; the design is cubist and it would fit in with any modern style decor (beside your German pottery vases). It is a two-mold bottle and it is moulded with MADE IN ITALY on the bottom. The colour is a vibrant teal blue. An Italian mosaic pin brooch and screw back earrings from the 1930s-40s. This attractive set features multicoloured roses and flowers on a turquoise ground. The glass tesserae are quite fine and they are set in filigree wirework gold plated brass. The pin measures 2 x 1-3/8" and the screwback earrings are 3/4 x 5/8". A vintage 1960s Rosko Japan Hy-Que Speak No Evil mechanical steel and plastic battery operated monkey toy. This famous 17" tall toy has brightly lithographed metal parts and soft rubber hands and head with fur. The clothing is intact and in excellent shape as is the metalwork (it rates a visual C9 to us). The mechanism doesn't work, however the face does light up. The battery tray is clean with only minor stains and it is free of corrosion. This toy is being sold in as described condition without warranty - we haven't tried to repair the mechanism. This item is in as is as described condition. A huge Gouda Roma art pottery vase from the Royal Zuid works circa 1950s. This Dutch pottery vase is in white, black and gold. This example is quite large - it stands 7-7/8" high and it is 7-3/4" across at its widest. It has the gold hand written mark for Royal Zuid and it has an artist's signature and a 3125 pattern number. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, crazing, chips, losses, damage or repairs. This 16" decorative vase features a blue ground with colourful flowers, leaves, flower buds and branches in pink, white, brown, red, pink, orange, blue and green. The decoration is allover in a chintz style and unusually this vase has a tab style collar standing proud from the body. It also has a pair of gilded animal head handles. A fine gold filled horse or equestrian gold filled mesh watch chain fob from around 1900. This late Victorian or early Edwardian man's fashion accessory consists of a fine chain with a swivel attached to the pocket clip mount; a mesh strip has a metal mount from which is suspended half of a photo locket which has a high relief horse surrounded by a horseshoe mounted with flashy white rhinestones. All components are rose gold coloured except the locket which is yellow gold filled. It was a fine decorative idea for a man's watch pocket and this is one of the most attractive fobs we've seen. A heavy sterling silver watch chain graduated bracelet circa 1880-1900. This late Victorian 8-1/4" bracelet is made of a piece of graduated watch chain (the links range from 5/16 to 7/16") with a non-rotating sterling swivel. Each link has an English lion silver mark and the swivel has an S.G maker's mark with a lion and k year stamp (probably 1884, possibly by Samuel Garside, a Birmingham silver chain maker). A Hazel-Atlas green Depression glass refrigerator storage jar with lid from the 1930s. This 5-7/8" across round jar has a ground (or fritted) handle or knob, a starburst molded pattern on the lid and it has the H over A maker's mark on the bottom. A superbly rendered and atmospheric lifetime woodblock print by the famed Japanese artist Kawase Hasui (1883-1957), titled "Ikegami Honmonji Temple" (Honmonji Temple in Snow). First published in 1931, this is an artist's lifetime strike from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. This print is Oban size (14-1/4" x 9-1/2" image size, 19-3/4" x 14-1/4" frame size). It has the 6 mm. red lifetime seal of the publisher Watanabe Shozaburo (seal used from 1946-57). It comes in a red-painted bamboo-style frame from that time period, with framing notations on the backing cardboard as well as the original Eaton's frame department sticker. This print is in excellent condition with no losses, tears, foxing, fading, damage or repairs. The frame has some flaking of the red paint on the frame (the shiny paint is about 50% gone however the red stain and black painted highlights remain). There is some minor browning to the paper not affecting the image. Please note we have a similar print from the same period also available.
