A Royal Doulton Don Quixote The Blanket Tossing D2692R scarce 10-1/4" Royal Doulton seriesware plate in the Don Quixote series, produced from 1906-28. This example features hand painting over transfer with the full colour floral and fruit border (there is also a blue and white version), and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs. A 14k Knight Templar York Rite jewel fob with garnets circa 1920s. It has (tested) garnets, white and black enamel, inlaid onyx and white gold as well. The suit of armor helmet pivots, and it has a myriad of inscriptions, including: IN HOC SIGNO VINCES PRESENTED TO E.F. BEYER BY H.G. MARLATT MARCH 23, 1923 BUFFALO, N.Y. A Meissen Scattered Flowers demitasse cup and saucer from the 1920s. This Scattered Flowers pattern 2" tall cup and matching 4-7/8" saucer both have hand painted flowers on the saucer and cup exterior; the cup's inside is undecorated and they have gold trim. In production for a very long time this cup appears to be from the 1920s or possibly before, with a paneled design and round non-scalloped edges as well as an angular handle. Both pieces have the crossed swords mark in cobalt and the cup has an underglaze 39 and gold 44 while the saucer has a gold 44 and underglaze 838 14. This fine porcelain item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs except for a small factory frit burn in the cup (the brown dot in our first picture). A Georg Jensen Blossom sterling silver Blossom sugar tongs. These 4-1/8" Danish naturalistic serving tongs are spring loaded and they have a full set of London, England silver import hallmarks for 1923. A rare and exotic authentic period Art Deco gilt brass and purple glass bead mesh head covering or skullcap hat c1920s. This unusual and fabulous fashion accessory would have been the height of fashion at a speakeasy or dance club; it consists of large gilt brass loops, gold plated chains and purple glass beads. It is unsigned and it measures 13" long when suspended from the central loop and 11-1/2" across the loops. This item is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, losses, damage or repairs. There is some minor wear to the gilding in spots, not too noticeable and appropriate for age. Guaranteed to be a vintage covering, not a reproduction. An Art Deco carved Bakelite nail grooming kit with an elephant from Austria circa 1930. This period 3-5/8" x 5/8" vanity item features a carved threaded two-piece cylinder topped with an elephant figure with black glass bead eyes and traces of red colour; it is stamped AUSTRIA on the bottom. A true rarity. This is a hand-carved marbled Bakelite plastic perfume bottle pin or brooch c1930s. This pin consists of a block of amber Bakelite with swirls of black, red, green and other colours resembling burled wood. It has a safety clasp and it has a hand-carved Bakelite perfume bottle suspended from brass chains. It has a black bakelite stopper on a brass chain as well and the bottle is mostly green with yellow and black highlights. A boxed cut crystal master salts & silverplated spoons circa 1920s-30s. This English made silk and plush lined presentation box contains two 2-3/4" cut crystal open master salt dishes and two 2-3/4" silver plated master salt spoons. A Curt Schlevogt Czechoslovakia malachite glass perfume bottle with a cabochon from the 1930s. Typical of his pioneering work with this type of glass, this 2-7/8" tall and 2-1/2" across bottle has an Oriental motif and the variegated green and gloss and satin finish found on vintage 1930s pieces. It retains its original gilt brass openwork stopper which has a claw-set cabochon green Peking glass cabochon stone. Although the original moulds continue to be used the earlier examples have the variations in the colour and finish of the glass (a couple of dark green lines can be seen but these are colour glass threads, not cracks). A vintage c1920s Buchanan & Lyall Just Suits Cut Plug tobacco tin. This 7-1/2 x 5 4-1/2" tin has orange/red graphics with gold, it has a carrying handle and a side locking tab, and the lid opens up. This item is in very good condition with no bends losses, damage or repairs other than a dent on one spine, some minor spotting to the graphics, some minor rusting to the interior, and some dulling and residues on the lid. Certainly the finest and most decorative vintage chocolate box we've come across! This is a c1930s-40s (we think) paper wrapped box with an applied print of two kittens on the top. The textured paper wrap is wallpaper thick with lush gold highlights, and this box has a gold Urney applique. The original tied ribbon is also present on this 13-3/4 x 9-3/4" box, which has the original sticker on the bottom (CHOCOLATES - 1-1/2 LB NET MANUFACTURED IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND). This advertising container is in excellent condition with no tears, fading, losses, damage or repairs other than a small dent and some minor abrasions to the cat image and some bruising to the bottom corners. This is a 9" across English bone china plate in the Royal Crown Derby 383 Kings pattern. The plate has superb hand painting in cobalt blue, orange, gold and rust red in the Imari palette and it has a ruffled edge. It is stamped with the RCD ENGLAND green mark with the date cypher III for 1940 and it has an underglaze C1 mark. A Birks sterling silver sauce boat with under tray dated 1946. The sauce boat measures 5" from the edge of the spout to the outer edge of the curved handle and it stands 2-1/4" tall (excluding the handle) on it's four hoof style feet. The boat has the Birks date mark for 1942 while the 5-5/8 x 3-5/8" tray bears a 1946 date stamp. This classy serving piece weighs 128.4 grams and it is in excellent condition with no monograms, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a few slight scratches and small, shallow dents on the boat rest part of the tray. There are a couple of short scratches on the bottom of the tray where someone tested it (maybe the stamped word "STERLING" had too many syllables for the tester to handle). A 7-5/8" berry spoon and a 4" pair of sugar tongs in the sterling silver Louis pattern, issued by Ellis (later Birks). The berry spoon weighs 66.3 grams, it has a fancy monogram, and it has some minor denting on the end of the bowl. The tongs have a fancy G monogram, it weighs 15.8 grams, and it has a hole through each claw for some unknown purpose. An unusual grouping of eight vintage 1940s moulded and hand painted hard rubber character figures. We haven't been able to identify the series or origin of this set (can you help?), and the largest, Dumbo, measures 2-1/4 x 2-1/2". Each has handpainted highlights in red and yellow and four have black painted shoes. This set includes the Mad Hatter, the Rabbit, Gepetto, Donald Duck, Dumbo, rabbit with heart, Red Queen, and Alice. Each of the tan/grey figures shows some soiling and minor paint wear, and all are unmarked. A Bunnykins Sheltering Under the Umbrella & Holding Hat and Coat egg cup style 2 footed 1937-1953. This high quality, elegant 7-7/8" tall serving piece features ornate gilding with patterned bands with a diaper decoration and foliage as well as a band of royal blue in a spongeware style on the lid and upper shoulder. A 9K yellow gold man's pocket knife fully hallmarked London, England 1950. This classy gift or men's accessory measures 3-1/4 x 7/16", it has thick engine-turned gold panels enclosing the two blades and it is fully hallmarked and dated 1950 with an SJR maker's mark (for S.J. Rose). Each gold cover is hallmarked and the hinges or rivets are covered by the engine turned design. The blades are marked STAINLESS SHEFFIELD and this knife has never been engraved or initialled. An Antiko Hildesheimer Rose 800 silver dessert or cake set in a fitted case box from the 1940s or 1950s. This ornate and attractive set was made by Kohlbecker Silberwarenfabrik of Pforzheim, Germany (1946-). Some sources say the "ANTIKO" trade name was used from 1959. This ornate set consists of six 4-3/4" cake forks in 800 silver as well as a matching 8-1/8" silver plated pie or cake lifter marked ANTIKO 90. The brown snakeskin style paper wrapped box has a fitted yellow and brown silk like interior; the lifter doesn't quite fit the support and it may be a replacement. This lovely set would make a great gift or highlight for your next high tea and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a bit of edge rubbing to the case.
