A Trajan silver drachm ancient Roman coin in an 18K yellow gold pendant. This genuine ancient silver coin depicts the Roman Emperor Trajan on the reverse and it is almost exactly the coin depicted here (combine the link in your browser address bar): www.forumancientcoins.com/ (plus) catalog/roman (plus) -and-greek-coins. It is housed in a custom 18k yellow gold modern pendant setting that replicates a more ancient setting style and it is stamped 18K. It is also stamped R to ethically verify that the setting is a modern version. The coin is set in a bezel and it is intact and unsoldered and the entire weight is 7.1 grams. The coin is in excellent condition and it is struck very well and beautifully centered with smooth surfaces and no overt damage - a truly fine example. Please note that there is wear to the obverse figure and some smoothing of the letters, but it is still a very nice example. Measuring 9/16" across the setting, this vintage size 7-1/4 or 7.25 abstract cluster ring features a 1.2 ct. oval genuine emerald (dark tone, bluish green, medium cut) with a 12 pt diamond and eight other diamonds (32 points total) all in VS-SI clarity and G-H colour. The emerald is visibly included, but is the most beautiful deep blue green colour. This ring weighs 3.8 grams and it has an independent gemological appraisal for $2000 (Canadian) from 2012. A Norway sterling silver and blue enamel brooch circa 1960s by Einar Modahl of Oslo. This attractive vintage modern 2-1/8" x 1-5/8" pin is a lovely royal hue. This Norwegian abstract double leaf is marked 925 S with the Einar Modahl maker's mark and an N in a square and STERLING NORWAY. The light colour or mauvish spots are artifacts of the photography and light reflections, the enamel is smooth and even with no damage. It has a modified catch which is now a c-clasp (no locking wheel), and it weighs 11.2 grams. A jeweler could add a locking wheel back to clasp. A 10K white gold synthetic Alexandrite ring circa 1960. This vintage size 5 ring measures 3/8" x 3/8" across the claws, which hold a faceted synthetic Alexandrite stone which changes colour from purple to more of a gray-blue depending on the ambient lighting. These simulated alexandrites are usually corundum laced with vanadium to produce the color change under different types of lighting, or a treated colourless chrysoberyl. This created gemstone has been around for almost 100 years, and the stones usually test as corundums on a gem tester (natural genuine alexandrites are expensive and uncommon, most of what you will see for sale is the simulated version). This ring weighs 2.6 grams, it is marked 10K with a circled A maker's mark, and the stone measures approximately 8mm x 8mm x 5mm, or approximately 2.3 carats. A matching 18k yellow gold rubies pearl and blue enamel necklace and brooch set circa 1960s by Uno-A-Erre. This set consists of the 1-1/4" across brooch with a safety catch and the 17-3/4" lavaliere type necklace with a satin finish clasp (the clasp is the same design as used for pearl necklaces). Each piece has cobalt enamelled flower petals with central genuine claw-set rubies, and there are a few random spots with a soft pink enamel around the leaves. The 1" x 1-3/8" pendant has an enamelled drop with a 5.2 mm genuine cultured pearl. Each piece is stamped with a full set of Italian marks - both the 750 (18K) mark and the company city mark (1 AR for Uno A Erre of Arezzo) are in a coffin shaped mark (used in Italy before 1968) and there is an additional mark with UNO AR, which is for Uno A Erre, a highly regarded fine quality Arezzo jewellery firm.
