An impressive Regency period 15k gold long necklace with ornate slide c1830-40. This superb example measures 62" long, it has a large well-made slide with black enamel, and it is constructed of double pulley-style interlinked gold loops. The 1" across and 1/4" thick slide has an engraved L. Gordon inscription on one side; it is unmarked and unsigned but tests as 15k gold. The slide has holes where a scarab or possibly a cameo was mounted (and another piece of your choice could be mounted on it), and it weighs an impressive 59.0 grams (almost 2 ounces!). This item is in otherwise fine condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the absent slide decoration and open end. A Victorian 14k diamond brooch circa 1890. This antique 1" across whirling circle pin has a free and graceful open filigree design. This round yellow gold pin shows the transition from stylized Victorian to the more flowing Art Nouveau influence. It measures 1 inch across, and in the centre is a claw set clear white genuine European antique cut diamond, measuring 3.5 mm. across (approximately 20 pt. by gauge) - it is is VS2 diamond of I-J colour. It has the original gate-latch safety clasp, where it is stamped 14 K. It is in very good condition, with all of the claw work in excellent condition, and the diamond in excellent condition also, but please note there appears to be an old professional repair visible only on the back of the brooch. It comes with an old appraisal.

A superb and evocative 1-5/8 x 1-3/8" mid-Victorian mourning pin in 14k yellow gold (unmarked but tested). This pin features a carved pink coral hand with black enamel bands on its sleeve, holding a wreath of flowers and leaves. There are seed pearls in the flower centers and there is a claw-set pearl in the center. A quality 14k rhodolite garnet and enamel stickpin circa 1860. This large, heavy and superb 19th century stickpin is in 14k yellow gold, with a 40 point purplish pink rhodolite garnet and enamelling. The garnet is claw-set in an incised star and surrounded by an enamelled six-pointed star in cobalt enamel (more purple than in our photographs). The twisted-shaft pin measures 2-3/4" long and the head of this stickpin measures 5/8" across. It weighs an impressive 6.4 grams and the stone has been checked by a gemmologist. A Victorian 14k gold synthetic sapphire seed pearls leaf pin brooch from 1880-1890. This attractive2-1/8 x 5/8" brooch is of hollow construction and it has a finely tooled pinioned leaf with seed pearls and a claw-set synthetic sapphire. Fine gem stones like emeralds or sapphires were very expensive in the 19th and early 20th century, so synthetic gems were often used even in gold jewelry. The pearls are natural with the expected surface irregularities and this pin is unmarked but tests as 14k gold. It has the repositioned original c-clasp (the pin closure itself is gold filled) and the leaf rotates around it's original pinion. This (unmarked but tested and guaranteed) 15K yellow gold brooch consists of a raised fancy scrollwork front with black enamel, a circle of high quality and lustre natural pearls surrounding a central crystal enclosed compartment with a swirl of medium-brown hair, and a polished mother of pearl backing under the nicely arranged lock of hair. It measures 2-1/2" x 2", it closes with a c-clasp with its original extended pin, and it has a loop for hanging as a pendant. The unusual mother of pearl backing has wonderful pink and green fire, and this pin weighs a substantial 37.4 grams. A lovely mid-Victorian piece of hair jewellery in 10k yellow gold c1860-80. This 1-3/4" x 1-3/8" pendant features a fine hand engraved (unmarked but tested) gold surround with a central concave transluscent moonstone agate, on which is mounted a gold-bordered hair insert. The insert and surround are bolted to the agate with hand-cut bolts, and it retains the original finely braided black hair, bezel and glass window. This item has been converted to a pendant, with a loop attached through a small drilled hole; the hinge for the pin remains and it could easily be converted back to a brooch with the addition of a pin and catch. An 18k Victorian 5 pearls row engagement ring from the 1880s 1890. This antique size 5 ring features a row of five genuine pearls which in Victorian times meant fidelity, love, loyalty and purity. These were the wedding fashion before the diamond engagement ring came into vogue and this example tests as a minimum of 18 k gold (the marks are obscured and it may be as high as 22 carat). It measures 3/4" along the pearls setting and it weighs 4.5 grams. An 1894 South Africa 1/2 Kruger Pond 22k gold coin mining brooch pin. This unusual pin was assembled as a souvenir of the South African gold mines and these coins were frequently brought back to the U.K. after the Boer war as souvenirs. This 2-1/8" example was constructed around the same time as the mintage of the coin which is in 22k gold (9 mm, 3.99 grams). It is mounted in a braided ring with finely wrought mine picks and shovel spades with gold nuggets - the setting tests as 10k gold. It has the original c-clasp and a safety chain and it weighs a total of 7.3 grams.
