This custom made 7-1/2 or 7.5 vintage ring features three quality diamonds - a 20 point brilliant cut diamond, a 10 point brilliant cut diamond (both VS clarity, F-G colour) as well as a European cut 12 point diamond (VS, I-J). It is stamped 14-18K with a maker's mark and it includes a recent professional independent gemological appraisal for $2400 CAD. This ring features a claw-set oval faceted 12 carat (calculated) synthetic alexandrite with lush purple and intense blue colour. These simulated alexandrites are usually corundum laced with vanadium to produce the color change under different types of lighting, or a treated colourless chrysoberyl.
