A 10k yellow gold man's opal ring from the 1940s. This size 9-1/2 ring features a natural rectangular opal with lots of green flash with an underlying orange fire. This ring measures 5/8 x 3/4" across the setting, it weighs 5.1 grams and it is stamped 10K with the maker's mark for I.B. Goodman Manufacturing Co., Inc. of Newport, Kentucky (1937-). This attractive ring is in very good condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs however there are some surface abrasions to the stone's face from use, a small chip to one corner and a flake on one other corner. There are some minor interior stress cracks visible when backlit - this stone can be repolished and recut if you are so inclined. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
