This 6-3/8" x 5" bowl has floral designs on the edge with Nouveau maidens with flowers in their hair. It is stamped 925 with an obscured maker's mark and it weighs 86.2 grams. If someone asks to see an example of Art Nouveau, just show them this bowl! This item is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some scratched in words near the mark on the bottom. A Royal Bayreuth sheep in meadow wall plaque from the 1900 1910 era. This attractive handpainted over transfer 9-5/8" porcelain wall plaque (or cabinet plate) depicts 5 sheep in a pasture. A Victoria Austria R.S. Prussia ornate lustre teapot. This antique Edwardian bone china porcelain teapot with a floral and lustre finish c1910 stands 6-3/4" high to the top of the fancy finial and it measures 7-5/8" from the spout to the edge of the handle. It was made (and stamped by) Victoria Austria who bought blanks for factory decoration - in this case a genuine R.S. Prussia blank. This lovely tableware serving item has a pale greenish/yellow ground with pink and green floral arrays plus greenish/blue highlights and gold embellishment. A Rowland & Marsellus Winnipeg Manitoba flow blue souvenir plate from the 1900 era. This 10-1/8" late Victorian English ceramic rolled edge display plate features views of Winnipeg Manitoba including the Canadian buffalo, Wesley College, Seven Oaks Monument, Fort Garry, Holy Trinity Church, Deaf and Dumb Institute and City Hall and Volunteers Monument. it is stamped with the blue Rowland & Marsellus mark and it states this plate was made for the Imperial Dry Goods Co. An English late Victorian mother of pearl handle fish set for six in fitted case 1890 1900. This set includes six 6-1/2" fish forks and six 7-3/8" scimitar-shaped fish knives. Each piece has a sterling silver patterned ferrule with silver plated blades and colourful genuine mother-of-pearl handles. The purple satin and velvet interior of the box has fitted compartments with locking brass fittings. A Bennington 19th century dog handle hunting scene large pitcher. This 10-1/4" tall pitcher has the typical Bennington mottled deep brown glaze with green and blue slip and a glazed bottom. The handle is a hunting dog and the body of the pitcher shows hanging game birds. A massive Japanese 19thC bronze jardiniere or plant holder with raised or bas-relief detail. This handsome antique signed Japanese bronze work stands 13-1/2" tall and it measures 11-1/2" across the opening. This is a large example of a classic bowl design, and it has a nice patination (appears somewhat lightened in our photographs to show detail). It features perching and flying birds and floral branches, a decorated collar with bat designs (a sign of luck and prosperity) and incised decoration. It has an applied signature planchet on the bottom, which has not yet been translated. It has some patina inside from use. It is in otherwise excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs except for a minor bend on the foot-rim. A sterling silver nutmeg grater circa 1890s. It may actually be older. This American antique 1-3/4" x 1-3/8" egg shaped sterling grater has the original interior gilt rasp and interior gilding. Nutmeg was an expensive imported spice when first introduced to Europe and to North America, and it became enormously popular as a condiment. A sterling silver nutmeg grater was a sign of prosperity, as well as indicating a great fondness for the spice, of which aficionados would grate to their own taste when sitting down to eat. Not easy to find them anymore. This antique example features fine ornate leaf hand engraving and a dedication saying Z.S.J. to M.M.J. 25th. Dec 1893. A fine Christmas gift indeed. It is stamped STERLING along the gilt inner rim, the gilding on the interior and rasp is a rich gold in colour and intact. A pair of Qing dynasty Chinese cloisonne enamel lobed plant pots or jardinieres. These late 18th/early 19th century shrub pots are similar but not identical. The 7-1/2" x 5-3/4" bowls feature blue grounds and well-executed multi-colour cloisonne designs. They are both footed and each has water drain holes in the bottoms. Each bowl has some damage, with incomplete or chipped enamel under the rims, enamel misses and chips and a large loss to the upper rim enamel on one pot. This brown transfer plate features a view of Montmorency Fall Winter View and it has the pattern's beaver, vine and flower border. A 19thC ironstone Wolfe-Montcalm Monument Quebec Canada scenes plate from the 1880s. This rustic 7-3/4" salad size plate is from a series of plates made for the Canadian market depicting various scenes. It was made by the Brittania Pottery in Glasgow, Scotland for Francis T. Thomas of Quebec c1880 as part of a commissioned series of Quebec scenes. It has a view of the Quebec City monument, text in two languages and a border of leaves and beavers. It is in very good condition with no cracks, damage or repairs other than a 1/4" front rim chip and some browning and crazing from heat.
