An antique Dutch silver hand made miniature fireplace from 1900 or earlier. This unusual and well-made decorative miniature stands 1-5/8" high and 1-7/8" wide. It has a tooled gallery around the back plate, an integrated fire fender and floor surround and a space in the bed of the fireplace possibly for a wood cradle or grate (not present). It has an array of silver stamps including the Dutch sword mark and others - some may be import and maker's marks or resale marks (Dutch items were required to be marked each time an item is sold). This hand wrought decorative miniature weighs 19.6 grams and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs however there are two solder bumps at the top of the back plate where it may have had hoops attached for wear as a pendant at some time in the past. A vintage Mt. Washington Quilted Diamonds huge rose bowl. This true vintage Victorian cased glass rose bowl is in attractive aqua blue and it dates around 1890. This 5-1/4" high and 6-1/4" across crimped edge posey vase is in the satin finish Quilted Diamonds pattern, produced by Mt. Washington glass. This IS NOT a reproduction, but the real thing, as can be seen in our pictures, which show the soft irridescent design. An Ironstone tea or tobacco leaf teapot and 8 petit four plates 1860s. A matching English ironstone 8-3/8" tall teapot and eight 4-5/8" petit four plates, all with a tea or tobacco leaf variant in gold with gold trim. The teapot has some relief design on the feet and near the top, and the petit four plates have twelve sides. These items date to the 1860s, and they are in excellent condition with no cracks, losses, repairs or damage other than some overall crazing to the teapot and 3 plates, one plate with a chip to the bottom rim, one with a factory overglazed rim chip, and two with minor staining and crazing. A rare Clews Jasperware cream jug circa 1815-34. This pre-Victorian English 3-3/4" high milk jug is signed by Clews. Ralph and James Clews (Cobridge, Staffordshire) was in business only from 1815-34; pieces of Jasperware in imitation of Wedgwood were tricky to manufacture and as a result examples by Clews are quite scarce. This buff coloured example has applied bacchanalia scenes, with figures drinking wine and holding grapes. It has a grape-leaf border and a hand-formed spout. It has an incised CLEWS on the bottom, and it shows the typical firing cracks in the decoration typical of the era. A superb quality 19th century hand painted German porcelain double spills vase c1860-80. This decorative mantle piece measures 7-3/4" wide and it stands 7-1/4" tall; it is in the form of a boy at the seashore with waves and two shells acting as the vases. The painting and detail are superb, from the finely painted face to the realistic sand and the painted flowers on the boy's pants. A fine and early Canadian East Coast native ash splint market basket made around 1900, possibly a little earlier. A Wm. Hutton silver plated Arts & Crafts egg stand for 5 with spoons circa 1900. This decadent egg serving stand consists of five 1-3/4" tall ball footed egg cups, the matching 4-1/2" ball-end egg spoons and the fitted 5-7/8" diameter base. The base is in the form of a deep round tray with mounting spikes for each egg cup which has a receptacle hole in the bottom; each egg cup retains some of its original interior gilding. The detachable screw-mound carrying handle has a rack for the five spoons and each piece has the maker's mark for Wm. Hutton & Sons of Sheffield, England. This fine set is in the Arts and Crafts style - simple, unadorned and functional. An attractive and well made hand-blown pair of early-mid Victorian stoppered glass liquor decanters. These matching 11-3/8" decanters have some hand cutting on the shoulder ribs and they retain their original blown and cut stoppers. A Royal Nippon hand painted white green & gold floral jardiniere plant pot from the 1880s. This beauty measures 8-5/8" across the handles and it stands 4-3/8" tall on its four feet. The decoration includes white flowers with a bit of orange blush on a few petals, pale green ground and a medium green band under the flowers. It is lushly decorated with applied gold and it has lots of beading. The bowl itself if lobed and the handles are forked at the top. It is typically unmarked and dates to around 1880 (items had to be marked for country of origin after 1891). It appears to never have been used for plants and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, damage or repairs other than some minor gold rubbing to the handles and the top edge. A pair of German 800 silver viande serving forks in the original box. This elegant and high quality pair of 800 silver German 8" viande or meat serving forks are in their original fitted box and they date to the 1900 1910 era. These forks are stamped 800 with the crown and eagle mark (Frankfurt, pre-1888), most likely produced by Bruckmann and Sohne (1805-1973). The forks are an interesting combiation of elegant Neoclassic revival design paired with the elements of Jugendstil - note the graceful and simple fork shape and crisp design to the ends of the handle. The 9" x 3-1/2" box is a tan coloured watered silk with a Greek key border and bronze coloured fittings with a patterned silk interior lid and cotton fitted platform with twisted cord trim. The forks weigh a substantial 83 grams, and they have traces of the original gilding. Lovely quality silver. A Gorham silver plated open chafing dish on stand from the 1900 era. This top quality late Victorian era warming dish measures 9-5/8" across and it sits on the ornately designed heavy quality footed stand, which has a large fuel well with a turned handle. It has two mechanical burners - the long thumbwheels open the lids and raise and lower the wicks in the same motion, snuffing the flames. The burners are mounted in a fitted top which sits on the fuel well; they are stamped PAT'D AUG 29.1899. The stand is marked with the GMCo EP anchor mark for Gorham and it has a pattern number 0560, which also appears on the dish. A pair of so-called Whimsey glass vases c1900. Glass whimseys, or end-of-day glass, were made at the end of the day's glass production by glassmakers using leftover glass; these items were usually taken home and given as gifts. Many forms were produced, including glass canes, figurines and artistic objects. This pair is made of amber and citrene coloured glass with white highlights and ribbon decoration. They are unsigned and the amber vase has a hook so it can be hung on a wall; the other sits on a table. The hanging vase measures 6-7/8" from top to bottom and the yellowish table vase is 4-1/2" from the edge of the trumpet to the edge of the stem. A Swiss sterling silver engraved hunter case pocket watch with a chain with a Routier Quebec retailer signature. This size 13 ligne or size 0 watch has fancy tooling on its full hunter sterling silver case which has an MQ '04 monogram on one side. The front and back cases and dust cover all have Swiss 935 sterling silver marks including the bear mark and the works resemble a barred Swiss movement from around the 1900 era. The porcelain dial with a single sunk second hand dial is signed A.C. ROUTIER QUEBEC (Quebec City, the retailer). This watch comes with an unmarked but tested sterling silver 24" double strand herringbone chain with a swivel. The crown is brass and this watch appears to be overwound and is not working. Also, the crystal and hour hand are missing however the face is in excellent condition as is the case. it is being sold as is without a guarantee. 2 pc. Gaudy Welsh Pearl White ironstone items 1820-50. This pair of early to mid-19th century Gaudy Welsh tableware pieces includes the 5-1/2" milk jug and the 7-3/4" across ten-sided plate. Both have floral hand painted designs; they have both copper and pink lustre with green leaves and flow blue decoration. They both have a painted 316 pattern number and the plate has an impressed PEARL WHITE mark. A 19th century Tunbridge Ware inlaid roses box. This 6 x 2" Tunbridge ware box has a central panel of inlaid small squares of wood arranged in a roses pattern. This box is composed of various woods and it is well-constructed. It is unsigned and it has a (replaced) velvet liner.
