A 15K emerald seed pearls starburst gothic flower Aesthetic pin brooch from the 1880s. This fine 1-1/8" Victorian pin is in the Aesthetic style and it is a fancy starburst with heart-shaped gold ribbon flourishes. The central stone is a natural (tested) emerald and it is surrounded by graduated seed pearls. This pin has the original c-clasp and it is unsigned; we've tested it and it tests in excess of 15 carat gold. A 15k rubies seed pearls shamrocks memento pin brooch from the 1875 era with green, yellow and rose gold. This splendid mid-Victorian 1-3/8" pin has an appealing hand etched floral design with genuine rubies and seed pearls as leaves and flowers. It also features a border with raised flowers alternating with raised and textured shamrocks which have leaves which are split with one side green gold and the other side of each leaf rose gold. On the back it has a compartment with a beveled glass window and retaining bezel which would have probably held a lock or braid of hair but now holds a trimmed tintype portrait of a man. It has a loop for wear as a pendant, it has the original c-clasp and it weighs 11.0 grams (intact). It is typically unmarked and it tests as 15k gold. The hair compartment is quite deep and it would easily hold a gold coin or other memento or even another portrait. A wonderful survivor and an example of the fine quality Victorian jewellers were able to accomplish. It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor damage to the cut tintype portrait. There is a slight patina from use which is quite exaggerated in our pictures. We gave this pin a simple surface cleaning only, preferring to leave the 150 years of patina intact. This fine mid-Victorian 2-3/4 x 7/8" pin features a fine carved genuine sardonyx male warrior portrait mounted on an Etruscan style pin with ornate wirework. It is unsigned and it tests as a high 15k (a bit below 18k) and it also has a hook for the suspension of a watch or locket. This 2-3/4" tie or cravat stick pin has fine wirework decoration on the 9/16" top which features a bezel-set pinkish-red rhodolite garnet stone. An 1894 South Africa 1/2 Kruger Pond 22k gold coin mining brooch pin. This unusual pin was assembled as a souvenir of the South African gold mines and these coins were frequently brought back to the U.K. after the Boer war as souvenirs. This 2-1/8" example was constructed around the same time as the mintage of the coin which is in 22k gold (9 mm, 3.99 grams). It is mounted in a braided ring with finely wrought mine picks and shovel spades with gold nuggets - the setting tests as 10k gold. It has the original c-clasp and a safety chain and it weighs a total of 7.3 grams. Although soldered into the ring the coin remains in superb condition and this scarce historical souvenir of the gold trade in South Africa is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. An 18k Italian ornate bracelet circa 1950s. Purchased by the original owner in 1957 in Italy, this amazing bracelet has top notch hollow construction and the deep resonant gold colour expected of high quality 750 gold. An Aesthetic sterling & 2 colour gold photo locket dated 1884. This beautiful vintage Victorian 1-3/16 x 15/16" photo locket is fully hallmarked for Birmingham England 1884. This locket has deep hand egraving and tooling on the front, with rose gold bars and a flower and a green gold leaf. The back has a repeat of the fancy border and the hallmarks, with an H&B maker's mark. It weighs 4.0 grams, and it is in excellent original condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor denting to the unmonogrammed back. This is an antique 15k yellow gold horseshoe bangle bracelet circa 1880. This Victorian equestrian or sporting bracelet is a well-made piece with a tight fitting hinge and tongue and box clasp. Note the small size and oval shape - it measures 2-1/4" x 1-7/8" across the interior (inner wall-to-wall measurement) and 1/2" across the horse shoe. It has a matte and a polished finish. This 15 K Victorian beauty hails from the period when sport and animal motif jewelry was most popular in the 19th century, which is 1870-80. It of is of typical hollow construction with a matte finish and it weighs 12.0 grams. It is stamped 15 inside the clasp, but has also been tested.
