An Art Nouveau Kerr sterling thistle brooch circa 1900. This sterling silver pin is by Kerr (1880s-1927) and it in the form of a large stylized thistle. This 2-1/8" x 1-1/2" brooch is of hollow construction with very high relief detail; it has the axe mark for Kerr and it is stamped STERLING and 1941 model number. It weighs 12.6 grams, it has a safety catch and it is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a crease to the silver on the back of the right-hand leaf (not visible from the front). An outstanding Art Deco sterling silver enamel and marcasites pendant necklace circa 1930. The pendant itslf measures 2" x 1" (including enamelled bale loop). It features colorful matte enamel in of geometric flowers in lilac, yellow, orange, lime green, blue and black with various sizes of marquisites. Please note that the colors may appear several shades brighter in our pictures than they are in real life, and the blue is a light royal blue, not turquoise. It is stamped EN in a kidney-shaped cartouche and STERLING on the back - we are still researching the maker. it weighs 7.5 grams (pendant only). We were unable to find any corresponding information about this mark, at first glance it looks very much like a piece produced by the Theodor Farhner firm, who were well known for such fine matte enamel finishes and the extensive use of marquisites. It is shown with a very recent sterling silver chain which is not included. This item is in good condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion or repairs other than a visible loss to the red-orange enamel and a couple of very short surface abrasions to the blue (just visible with a loupe). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have signs of use as would be expected. Silver and silver plated items are hand-polished, not buffed, and our halogens and magnified images may exaggerate otherwise barely noticeable scratches and flaws. An Art Deco sterling silver chrysoprase and marcasites ring from the 1920s 1930 period. This size 5 ring is 3/4" across and it features a green genuine chrysoprase curved bevelled stone, surrounded by flashy marquisites in a square setting. The shoulders of the hoop have typical period engraved flower designs and this lovely ring weighs 4.2 grams. It is marked STERLING inside the band and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs. All condition issues are noted. An Art Deco chrome yellow cut glass and white rhinestones sterling ring from the 1920s-30s. This size 6 ring features a brilliant deep chromium yellow cut crystal central cushion cut stone flanked by wonderfully arrayed white paste rhinestones on the shoulders of this superb ring. It measures 5/8 x 9/16" across the yellow/orange citrene-coloured stone and it is marked STERLING. It weighs 10.3 grams and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a very few very tiny abrasions to the stone's edges (barely visible). An Aesthetic sterling & 2 colour gold photo locket dated 1884. This beautiful vintage Victorian 1-3/16 x 15/16" photo locket is fully hallmarked for Birmingham England 1884. This locket has deep hand egraving and tooling on the front, with rose gold bars and a flower and a green gold leaf. The back has a repeat of the fancy border and the hallmarks, with an H&B maker's mark. A 19th century Scottish sterling silver agate pebble brooch. This antique 1-1/2" across traditional pin in the form of a hand-engraved sash with crescent. The stones include bloodstone, jasper and another green agate. This pin is unsigned (typical of Scottish pieces) and it tests as silver. It has a c-clasp and a loop for wear as a pendant; it weighs 9.8 grams. A 19th century Scottish sterling silver banded agate pebble buckle brooch pin. From the early to mid-Victorian era, this large and dramatic pin measures 2-7/8 x 2-1/2". It has wonderfully striped and figured grey and white banded agate fitted stones with silver dividers and it has finely hand engraved and tooled decoration including a buckle, inner edge, decorated outer rim and an engraved pierced silver top. It has the original c-clasp and a loop for a safety chain and safety pin (absent). It is typically unsigned with no hallmarks and it would have been worn as a garter, kilt or sash pin. It weighs 42.0 grams and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the probable replacement of one stone to the left of the figured cap (an old repair).
