A lovely lady's Ryrie (later Birks) hanging watch in 9k rose gold c1910. This 1-1/8" diameter watch features a single sunk seconds dial, blued hands and black Roman numerals and a large hinged rectangular loop for hanging. The face is marked RYRIE, and the case is stamped with London, England import gold marks with a 109926 serial number. The 15/16" (24 mm.) diameter works are stamped 3326279 RYRIE VERNON 15 JEWELS; Vernon was Ryrie's quality gold watch line and they used Waltham works according to archive catalogues. This watch is suspended from a 10k yellow gold pin featuring the three loop Rebekah lodge symbol. The pin has a safety catch, and this pin and watch measures 2-1/4 x 1-1/4" in total. Victorian 14k diamond & opals pendant from 1890-1900. This yellow gold pendant has a central diamond and natural opals surrounding it. The stones are all claw-set, and the old European brilliant cut diamond is 30 points, with I-1 clarity and G-H colour. The opals are genuine natural opals, 3.5-3.4 mm. in size and all have excellent blue, green and red colours (quite intense in real life but somewhat muted in our pictures). This pendant was constructed from a Victorian earring, after the mate was lost. Included is an independent gemmological appraisal in the amount of $1400 Canadian.
