Established in 1924 this school added "District" to the name in 1953 and amalgamated in 1968 to become the John Diefenbaker Secondary School. This 5/8 x 9/16" wide ring features the school crest with yellow and cobalt blue enamel, which doubtless are the school colours and it also has their school motto "ENTER TO LEARN GO FORTH TO SERVE". The central diamond measures 4 points by gauge and the other two flanking diamonds are approximately 1.5 points each. This ring measures 15/16 x 3/16" across the designed area and setting and it weighs 1.8 grams. This ring is unmarked due to a relatively recent re-hooping which has removed the original markings however this ring tests as 14k gold. A stunning Art Deco yellow crystal sterling silver buckle design bangle bracelet from around 1920. This vintage beauty shouts Deco and it has the same silver tooling and buckle clasp as seen on signed DIAMONBAR bracelets by Wachenheimer Bros of Rhode Island (1905-1933) and this is probably an early example. The buckle itself has white rhinestones, the sides are finely and ornately engraved, the interior is cut-out and it is stamped only STERLING.
