This unmarked (but tested) silver 7-3/8 x 1" bracelet features six curved high relief hand tooled links depicting a dragon, historical figures and flowers. It has a pushbutton box clasp and loops for a safety chain (not present) and it probably dates to the 1920s but it may be earlier. It weighs 35.6 grams and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the missing safety chain. An Edwardian Art Deco sterling silver barrel step cut crystal necklace from around 1920. This beauty features a fine open wire link 16" chain with a hook and eye clasp. The 1-1/4 x 5/8" unmarked pendant features a step-cut rounded barrel style crystal stone claw-set on a mount with an array of white rhinestones. The chain is stamped STER and it weighs 6.2 grams. It is in the transitional style when Edwardian design was becoming Art Deco around 1920, and this necklace is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the splitting and twisting together of one wire link anchoring the pendant to the chain (it was probably free-swining on the chain originally). An unusual vintage post Edwardian English sterling silver miniature mirror pendant on a sterling chain. The 2-1/2" x 1-3/8" mirror is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1916 with a C&N maker's mark, for Crisford and Norris. The 22" sterling silver chain with spring-ring catch is indistinctly marked on the loop, but tests as silver (it came with mirror, appears to be vintage but cannot guarantee it was purchased with mirror originally). A decorative but useful piece, great bridal accessory, to keep a discreet look at makeup. This necklace weighs 12.6 grams, and it is in very good condition with no cracks, breaks, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than two small dents on the mirror handle. A scarce sterling silver filigree posey holder pin circa 1900 1910. This antique 2-1/4" long and 1" across (unmarked but tested) fantastic posy or corsage brooch is an example of ornate and very fine silver work. The ball and wire end makes me think it may be an older Indonesian / Yogya piece. It was assembled from three separate sections of filigree silver. It may be older than our estimate. This possible bridal item either started out as a flower bouquet holder and had the pin added or was always a posy-pin. It has a c-clasp. It can readily be converted to (or back to) a small bouquet holder. It weighs 12.6 grams, and it is in excellent condition for its age and fineness, with no corrosion or repairs other than what appears to be a small section of missing wire and the c-clasp has been repaired. A pair of silver filigree and blue turquoise dangle tear drop earrings from the 1900 1920 era. These 2-1/8" long Edwardian earrings feature fine silver filigree work and natural turquoise cabochon stones and large robin's egg blue teardrop shaped drops. The bottom turquoise drop is substantial, so they make quite a statement. These large drop antique earrings have been converted from the original screw back to pierced mounts. The filigree work is fine and Asian in design. They are unmarked but test as high grade silver. This well-made 1-5/8 x 1/2" pin has matte finish enamel with a yellow throat and blue plumage as well as an orange eye (not yellow as in our photos). A Scottish agates sterling silver banded agate sword pin circa 1911. This handsome dirk pin features finely banded agate cased in a hand-engraved "sheath"; the hilt of the knife features a cabochon agate stone. It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1911-12, and it has the maker's or retailers mark for Adie & Lovekin. Many of these pins were made in Scotland and hallmarked in Birmingham, although some were made there as well. A Scottish Dirk pebble and crystal knife pin or brooch from the 1900 era. This late Victorian/early Edwardian pin had fine hand engraving and tooling, the amber stone is of molded glass and the two stones are of red jasper and (probably) black onyx. It measures 2-7/8" long and 3/4" at its widest, it has the original c-clasp and it is stamped SILVER. A Scottish sterling silver banded agate sword and shield brooch pin dated 1863. Although a common form this example is one of the most ornate and best constructed we have seen. It measures 2-3/4 x 1", the silver is deeply and intricately tooled and the cut and polished banded agates are well matched and are gray (or grey), white and blue striped. The shield is mounted by wire pins through loops on the sword back and most unusual is a hand-etched British hallmark shield with the letter and number cyphers indicating a manufacturing date of Dec. 6, 1863. This item is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a bend to the C from the original c-clasp (easily straightened). An antique Art Nouveau period Scottish sterling silver two piece belt buckle, depicting the Green Man, a well known creature from ancient United Kingdom mythology. He is associated with birth and re-birth, and the coming of spring. Wide silver buckles of this size - 4-3/4" x 2-3/8" - in solid silver, silver plate or gold were often presented to a young graduate nurses by their families or by consultants at the hospital they were then working as graduate nurses, as their badge was the wide black belt of their nursing uniform. One of my nurse friends who trained in the UK says this practice was still usual into the 1950s. This buckle is fully hallmarked for Glasgow, Scotland 1897-8 and it has the maker's mark for (possibly) James Forest. A heavy sterling silver watch chain graduated bracelet circa 1880-1900. This late Victorian 8-1/4" bracelet is made of a piece of graduated watch chain (the links range from 5/16 to 7/16") with a non-rotating sterling swivel. Each link has an English lion silver mark and the swivel has an S.G maker's mark with a lion and k year stamp (probably 1884, possibly by Samuel Garside, a Birmingham silver chain maker).
