A 12K Egyptian rose gold genuine yellow topaz ring. This vintage size 6-1/2 or 6.5 genuine topaz solitaire has gold hallmark for Egypt. The date mark may be for 1943 -1944, but that may vary by city where assayed. The claw-set stone is a rectangular faceted or emerald cut, and is a definite yellow with very slight brown under-tone, and has an excellent clarity. The topaz measures 11.5mm x 9.1mm and has a depth of 7.3mm, so it is slightly over 5 carats in size. The ring weighs 3.2 grams. We also tested the ring, and it appears to be closer to 14K, but is being sold according to its assay mark.
