Mabe pearls grow on the inside of the shell rather than the centre, so they are curved at the front but flatter at back. This necklace pendant has a pearl enhancer type loop, which means it can also be worn over a strand of pearls or some other gem stone or bead necklace also. Also lovely on a chain alone as the pendant. The pearl alone measures 12 mm. across and the six genuine modern single cut diamonds are set in white gold, with yellow gold surrounding.
