A German Industrial Art Deco celluloid or Bakelite chrome necklace from the 1920s. This evocative beauty features chromed links with layered or stepped segments in the German Industrial Deco style. It also has angular orange celluloid links and it is marked GERMANY on the jump ring. It measures 17" long, the middle drop is 7/8" deep and it has a springring clasp. It is in the style of, and closely resembles the work of, Jakob Bengel and we feel confident it is one of his creations (another Bengel piece was purchased from the same consignor). A great fashion accessory that easily shows what Deco was all about. This size 5-1/2 ring features a natural purple genuine amethyst stone in a multi-claw setting and it has hand engraved foliate inlaid silver shoulders. It measures 5/16 x 1/4" across the stone, it has an obscured set of hallmarks and maker's marks with an O year date for Chester, England 1897 and it weighs 1.4 grams. A 14K white gold Siffari 5 diamonds row wedding band ring from the 1950s. This size 6 ring features a row of 5 small two point diamonds in a sculpted 3/4" long and 1/16" wide setting. A pair of gilt brass roses metalwork table lamps with marble bases from the 1930s 1940s. These beauties stand 25-3/4" to the tops of the original finials and the bases are genuine black veined marble. They may actually date from the 1920s and they have been rewired and resocketed. The pleated silk shades shown are later (and were on the lamps when we acquired them) and they can be included if you wish (they have minor staining/spotting) but that will raise the shipping costs substantially. The antiqued patination is intact but attractively mellowed and the metalwork could use a good, gentle cleaning. A Birks sterling silver sauce boat with under tray dated 1946. The sauce boat measures 5" from the edge of the spout to the outer edge of the curved handle and it stands 2-1/4" tall (excluding the handle) on it's four hoof style feet. The boat has the Birks date mark for 1942 while the 5-5/8 x 3-5/8" tray bears a 1946 date stamp. This classy serving piece weighs 128.4 grams and it is in excellent condition with no monograms, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a few slight scratches and small, shallow dents on the boat rest part of the tray. There are a couple of short scratches on the bottom of the tray where someone tested it (maybe the stamped word "STERLING" had too many syllables for the tester to handle). A 10K white gold synthetic Alexandrite ring circa 1960. This vintage size 5 ring measures 3/8" x 3/8" across the claws, which hold a faceted synthetic Alexandrite stone which changes colour from purple to more of a gray-blue depending on the ambient lighting. These simulated alexandrites are usually corundum laced with vanadium to produce the color change under different types of lighting, or a treated colourless chrysoberyl. This created gemstone has been around for almost 100 years, and the stones usually test as corundums on a gem tester (natural genuine alexandrites are expensive and uncommon, most of what you will see for sale is the simulated version). This ring weighs 2.6 grams, it is marked 10K with a circled A maker's mark, and the stone measures approximately 8mm x 8mm x 5mm, or approximately 2.3 carats. A 14K yellow gold convertible ring with 6 different stones that can be changed when preferred. This size 5 ring features 6 different colours of semi-precious stones (includes black onyx, beryls, dyed mother of pearl - the pink stone looks like marble or rhodonite). The ring is stamped 14k with the company mark (as seen in photo) and 585 (also means 14K). They have the original 3" x 3-1/8" manufacturer's/retailers box, and possibly were sold in the 1970s-1980s. There were originally 7 stones, the white mother- of-pearl round stone is missing. It has the name CHAMELEON 14K GOLD stamped on the interior (we haven't identified the company origins). A pair of German 800 silver viande serving forks in the original box. This elegant and high quality pair of 800 silver German 8" viande or meat serving forks are in their original fitted box and they date to the 1900 1910 era. These forks are stamped 800 with the crown and eagle mark (Frankfurt, pre-1888), most likely produced by Bruckmann and Sohne (1805-1973). The forks are an interesting combiation of elegant Neoclassic revival design paired with the elements of Jugendstil - note the graceful and simple fork shape and crisp design to the ends of the handle. The 9" x 3-1/2" box is a tan coloured watered silk with a Greek key border and bronze coloured fittings with a patterned silk interior lid and cotton fitted platform with twisted cord trim. The forks weigh a substantial 83 grams, and they have traces of the original gilding. Lovely quality silver. A wonderful looking vintage late Victorian 1-3/8 x 1" rolled gold plated oval photo locket on a 19" book-link rolled gold plated chain. The 5/16" wide chain has different engraved designs on each side, and the locket has fine hand tooling on the reverse side. It also has an applied mount with a central pearl surrounded by six natural garnets. It is unsigned, and it has a large springring catch; the interior has two photo bezels and (replaced) plastic windows. A lovely mid-Victorian piece of hair jewellery in 10k yellow gold c1860-80. This 1-3/4" x 1-3/8" pendant features a fine hand engraved (unmarked but tested) gold surround with a central concave transluscent moonstone agate, on which is mounted a gold-bordered hair insert. The insert and surround are bolted to the agate with hand-cut bolts, and it retains the original finely braided black hair, bezel and glass window. This item has been converted to a pendant, with a loop attached through a small drilled hole; the hinge for the pin remains and it could easily be converted back to a brooch with the addition of a pin and catch.
